You are absolutely correct:
the X1 made by HTC.
Some of the SE phones made by HTC and Sagem.
Check out Sagem! :))))
Really interesting.
They have announced about 14 phones in February 2008 :)
from them 12 still ´coming soon´
:))))
GSMArena NEWS:
˝The next Sony Ericsson XPERIA won’t be made by HTC˝
I wonder who gets the contract?
Sagem?
That is gonna be another samrt move from SE :)))
Probably, by 2011 Sagem will be ready to manufacture a phone with greater than 2˝screen (or 2.4 :).
:))))
Where did I say it WILL be Sagem? :)))
Actually I did write:
´I wonder who gets the contract?´
I guess that is enough to demonstrate your post is just not relevant :)))) relevant :)
Sagem already have contract with SE.
and Yes, I did read the article some time ago.
I do not want to make look bad the X1 -we just discuss here the advantages and disadvantages
We also need to realize that some think may be disadvantage for one person and advantage for others.
As I have written before:
A missed call can save your life.
(so for some people poor reception, lousy battery can be very convenient excuse .... )
You like the X1!
Enjoy it! I do not argue with you!
It is probably a great phone for you! for you:)

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2009You are absolutely correct: the X1 made by HTC. Some... moreUmm, did you actually READ the article about the next Xperia not being made by HTC? It actually says that the next WinMo device from SE won't be made by HTC, before saying that the next Xperia might not even be WinMo. It also says that rather than using HTC, "Instead, Sony Ericsson will entrust their new smartphone production to a Taiwan-based company called Mobinnova." So what makes you think it'll be Sagem? You just don't quit, do you? Why are you still determined to make this phone look bad...?

this is the best phone. I am having it for about two monts and never had problems. Maybe it is just my device....but doubt it. For the negative comments about x1, I think that you people who are writing this nonsense dont even have one.
this is the best phone ever!!!

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2009Lies, lies everywhere... Had the phone for 2 days.
Today... moreI guess you are correct:
I had the same experience with different phones (and batteries)
The battery just horrible.
It is probably dangerous also.
It has been reported that it heats up to a really hot level.
It is possible that some phones (batteries) work great but my guess is that the problem is too common and SE should have recalled the batteries.

clark, 14 Jan 2009Your beloved pony toy...
The Biggest High-Tech Flops Of ... moreWe and many others waited long time for this big....
but at least it did not take long time to learn the real value of X1.
During the first couple of weeks even the hardcore SE fans flooded the net - the reps were quite that time.
Now the PR is getting louder.
Even GSMArena did not know what to do with the X1 - for weeks there was not review.
I guess they had to give in.
SE will have hard time to catch up.
see GSMArena News Samsung phone with projector - and it works great!
X1 has trouble with a Wifi connection - of course there are several excuses, but who cares? I do not! In 2009, a reliable Wifi and GSM connection just essential for me.
You may have a different opinion, I respect that and that case I strongly recommend the X1 for you and all the people like you!

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2009There is definitely too much SPAM here. This is NOT a touch... moreYes, unfortunately you are another unhappy customer of SE with the X1!
And all the reps here giving me hard time - I guess more education needed.
500 euro is way too much for the X1 - I refuse to take it for free
I will not carry 2 phone just because the X1 reception is lousy.
You may able to sell your phone the guys here who keep posting ´X1 rules´ :)))
for 600 Euro since it is broken in already :)

I must say this is a improvement over all the recent SE phones, but I think SE must start to catch up with the rest. Consumers understand they have a long term strategy, but in terms of current similar phones the rest have more higher end features and SE seems to be behind in terms of that.
I love the build quality of SE phones and operating systems, but please catch up in terms of features.X1 is out but Samsung and nokia have more feature rich phones in the same class.
