Thank you guys for posting sites where to download applications for XPERIA X1. By the way, to enjoy full YouTube, I think Flash Lite 3 should be installed first. I would apppreciate if somebody can explain clearly how to configure XPERIA for YouTube installation. Thanks you!

X1 sucks man ...the worst mobile to be ever launched by SE...waited for this phone not to my expectations...and also the release of this phone is too late where as others have lauched their own phones with Windows Mobile 6 back in mid 2008...I am happy with my P1i it is still an excellent, brillant, awesome, great phone.....I am happy that I did not sell my P1i for the X1....not a good phone..sorry guys but this is my opinion about X1...Sony Ericsson best smart phone is the P1i...

and lastly.....
The X1 comes with a total of 384 megabytes of RAM memory. Only 256 megabytes is visible in the system, but this is because these 256 megabytes is strictly for applications. At boot there’s about 152 megabytes free.
The remaining 128 megabytes of RAM memory is used for both the video graphics and CPU. According to the MSM7200A datasheet, the graphics part of the chipset (presumably the ATI Imageon 2300 or 2700G chip) is capable of delivering up to 4 million 3D triangles per second, and 133 million 3D textured pixels per second fill rate.
Furthermore, it supports OpenGL ES - link that up with the large amount of dedicated video memory, and you’ve got an awesome power horse or gaming machine.

and some more.....
The real difference in the chipsets is about video compression. The MSM7201A chipset limits video recordings to QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels) and up to 24 frames per second video, whereas the MSM7200A chipset supports VGA resolution (640 x 480 pixels) video recording at up to 30 frames per second.
Regardless of the chipset, the ARM11 applications processor’s clock frequency is at 528 MHz. There’s actually also yet another processor in the X1, only that this ARM9 processor at 256 MHz is dedicated to accelerating application processing and for simultaneous modem processing. The processors do a wonderful job at making sure the X1 feels fast in applications.

Info about the difference btw the X1i and X1a....
The hardware platform used in the XPERIA X1 is dependent on the region. The European / world variant - X1i - makes use of the Qualcomm MSM7200A chipset (made in 2007), while the American variant - X1a - will make use of the Qualcomm MSM7201A chipset (made in 2008). The MSM7201A chipset is theoretically speaking the successor of the MSM7200A chipset, although the differences are almost non-existent.
The reason for the different chipsets is said to be a Broadcom patent infringement by Qualcomm back in June 2007. The suit is said to have something to do with video compression in the MSM7200A chipsets. Because the lawsuit is about an American patent, the MSM7200A chipset is used in all non-American variants, and the newer MSM7201A chipset is only used in the American variants.

Ok, the N95/N96/N82 is not comparable to X1. They're in different segments and comparing them would only embarass Nokia. Also, regarding size, the X1 is a bit wider and a bit longer, but alot thinner. In total, the X1 has a volume of 97cm³ while the N95 is 110cm³ The N96 is a bit smaller but still larger than the X1 at 102cm³.

The Xperia x1 is a brilliant phone. I have had many of WinMo and Symbian smart phones in the past such as the N70, N82 palm treo, HTC Kaiser , and the T-Mobile Dash. On this purchase I was planning on buying a HTC Touch Pro, but decided to buy and try Sony\'s new Xperia. Looking back at my purchase, I definitely don\'t regret it. The Xperia is bringing life into the world of dull phones and setting the new standard for Windows Mobile.
