To my brother form KSA, the panel shows default 'New York' as it is an image not the panel it self. First the image is enlarged & than on the back end the panel starts it self, once it is loaded you see you customized location. I dont think is a problem in the unit.

Some great apps...
I downloaded Pocket player, its a great media player that is finger friendly and has an equalizer. You don't have to switch to other panel as well (faster). You'll see the great sound reproduction of x1 through this.
Image Viewer, an image viewer as it suggests, that lets you browse pics just like on iPhone. WinMo is just so great, there are plenty of programs available, several are even for free. Its just a web search away.

@4vsH - thank you for your reply. Yes, it's not really a big deal since it is fast to switch from the default to your cutomized. However, I forgot to mention as well that is it normal that a little gap (you can see the QWERTY keyboard) between the screen and the main body when closed?

Hey about the setting time zone.. i had exactly same case as u, it always show the 1st time zone (New York) then about 1 second later it changes to ur customize time zone (lets say mine is Los Angeles). But i think its not big of the deal

At last I've got my XPERIA X1 (black) only yesterday. So far, I have one issue on any of the XPanel. The first time you turn-on your unit, the clock is default to New York and you need to customize it where you live. After I customized, it's ok. But everytime you re-opened or re-launch the clock to be on your standby screen, it will show you first the default clock (i.e. New York) for a second (perhaps) before it will show you the ones you have cutomized it, say Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) maybe a second again. Is this always the case?

Since one of the highlights of the X1 is its panel interface, it only logical to make the most of it. If you wanted music + an MP3 player whats wrong with an iPhone?
That and web browsing are the best features of it, amoungst other things.

i had an xperia n its Crap with a capital C it drops calls wifi dont work n the build quality is total crap u see 1000 of ppl on the internet complaning of cracks n that plus windows is realy crap if u want a gud touch fone then defintely get a 5800 or wait for n97 both r 10x betta than xperia n every1 know symbian is the best os for fonez
