The link below is really good few minute read its from the bbc website on all top end smarfones,,from bb to androin to windows and a comparison of xperia to psion..I think the article sums up things perfectly and suggests that the converged device is still a way off..

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hy i have just bought one 10 days ago , and i have the same problem the battery is full for only 4 hours!! and if i Talk a little bit long my ears goy burned,,, incredible such a good publicity they made of this phone that i can´t beleive they didn´t realise this problem..
It´s impossible to go out and not to take anothre cell phone just in case this run out of battery.

Aamer, 14 Dec 2008Hi guys. I am going to buy Xperia. Can anybody confirm that... moreive done some basic word on xperia as it says it comes with office mobile installed so check that means ever xpetia even sim free before buying
In office mobile suite ive got excel mobile with the usual cells calculations,,one note mobile wich you can go into menus and format the note with italics and so on,,powrpoint mobile which when menu is pressed it says "set up show",,then word which has b i u functions plus right,middle and left paragraph format,,bullet points,in menu again its got tools such as word count insert date,,format font,,format paragraph so its just about normal desktop apps straight out of box
You have another folder called buisness applicatios which has adobe reader LE,,notes,,tasks.
Tools app next has internet sharing,,java which on mine is mini opera downloaded myself plus games,ebay..
quick gps,, and a sim manager..
I n programmes their is also active syc,,calculater,,comms manager,,email plus,,file explorer,,getting started help guide,,google maps,,help?,,im messenger,opera browser 9.5,,search,,vodafone find and go,,voda live!,,voda sim,,windows live,,you tube player,,
Their are extra settings for the 4 led status lights,,optical joystick control,,spb shell settings,,external gps and a customer feedback app which you initiate at setting up of this monsterous product..
That above and all the panels set up and my 16gb card kept me going for the first few weeks before i could start to enjoy it..Get it from a reputable firm or your usual place,,if you like windows then i would suppose its a treat but a novice like myself found it complex but im glad i persevered and now happy,,

Have you ever felt how 'CHEAP' they are made!!!!!!
from 6233 to N95 8GB - there all assembled with the same plastics and there just cheaply made...
and the software? Symbian ! 'puck' not user-friendly in anyway!
16M VS 262K
16M is a Nokia gimmick ..it actually makes NO difference at all..
Sony's 262K is same as Nokia's 16M ....
So if Sony put 16M in their phones, they would kill Nokia's 16M LOL
Symbian - another gimmick...
just please stop making stuff, do some research and think ..then comment here!!!

But still Xperia with 65k colors beats ANY nokia screen with 16m colors...so Xperia wins.

Rizwan, 14 Dec 2008To, janazz (who loud better than quiet xperia). plz, try ... moreI had an N95 at the begining of this year.....and yes N95 is slightly louder I have to admit..but with the N95 gps nevigating was a nightmare it took ages to get the satellites, boring symbian...i only kept it for 3months and bought an HTC touch cruise....Still at parties I never used to hear the N95 ringing sorry..

Have X1 for 10 days. Best pocket pc ever. Good all round. Build quality unmatched. Undecided like I was? Get the Xperia. You will love it.
