That's why I've been pretty much absent from these threads recently. Does anyone remember when this used to be a place where people could come and ask for help when they had a genuine issue with something? I used to enjoy helping out people who were frustrated with the same problems that bugged me, or learning about how to solve any other things that may crop up. That seems to have been ruined by all the ignoramuses who are hurling insults (at each other and the phones). The arguments were fun for a little while, but really, it's getting out of hand. Has anybody noticed that nobody really comes and asks genuine questions anymore? And when they do, it tends to get ignored in favour of the childish bickering. Seriously guys, stop it - please? If you don't like the Xperia, fine. If you had a defective one - it sucks, but it happens. Chances are, if you had it exchanged, the replacement woulda been fine. But, what does anyone get out of you flaming the phone. If this place turns into nothing more than a battleground for insult warfare it'll get closed (eventually). Let's take it back to what it used to be - fun and informative...

if with 65k colors XPERIA can show better colors and pictures why do you need 16m colors?

Windows mobile have to outcome the limitation of displaying only 65k color....
but symbian OS have no such type of color limitation
So U c X1 is Faltooooo....
(that means it is crap)

to person on about e90,,i would have got that but it was not available at upgrade time and along with tytan11 is still expensive sim free so was no option but still very well specced fones..
MY question is can you change colours in spb shell i find it a bit drab looking,cannot see any options..If i have to upgrade to full version or something i may consider as it worked superb when i depended on it..
Last comment for now is watch reputable emails because bbc click online this week is all about security and one email about flash update is a bug and i downloaded it and new something was wrong at 5pm cause winweb kept popping up saying i had all this infected files etc and to buy this app to get rid of it..After googling on xperia it is a false secutity app that gets money off you and if you buy winweb it downloads tonnes of malware so beware its a bugger to get rid of,,i checked whole comp and could not find it to get rid of..I Downloaded a bit by bit scouring malware programme that sniffed it out and its gone..What about future if websites we trust and look the same but are false and full of trojans etc they will have to rewrite the whole web???

Were having no trouble with xperia but yes it is hard to get to grips with and quite an involving smartfone but its unique and only going to get better as software,,panels and other upgrades possible in future.
I have just come from n82 and one of the best fones going in non smarfone group were samsung d600/d900 so do not care about make..If this xperia was made by nokia i would by it its unique ,,stylish,,complex ,,well built,,and got a screen to look at that ultra smooth,,vivid,,lucid and detailed with mega brightness and superb colour rendition..
16 MILLION COLOUR fones ive had, nokia 6131,,n82 and samsung g600..N82 dim screen with yellow background whereas it should be paper white,,nokia 6131 very dull with to much blue hue on screen,,samsung g600 very pale next to d900 screen which is 262k so my opinion of 16 million colours is a waste of battery,,brightness and colour probs.
I have always liked the 262k screens as the samsung d410 and o2 x3 which i had were some of the first to employ such colour pallettes and were really different..Unfortunatly windows only supports the native 65k and 16 million colours due to nature of bits and as all software would not make use of any more than 65k and it costing more and it taking more battery power 65k is the best option..Thats not to say screens differ my god you have glorious colours to washed out colours aka sammy g600 to dim screens to superbright screen,,my s/e z710 was to bright at 50%s that it induced headaches.Also my htc touch is glorious in colour and brightness but when playing vids its hard to get a good view cause of reflectivness which turn onscreen blacks into a mirrored surface..
Xperia is the best screen i have seen on a mobile in 10 years,,do you remember the s/e t68/t68i with 101x 80 resolution and 256 colours,,we have progressed..

To All !It seems you missed me :)
I went to ski for a while. It was great.
I see some of the ericsson reps stayed in their cubicle :(
They argue and fight as usual and the profanity and obscenity part of it - I guess they had a course for it. I assume danish high schools do not teach that.
BTW, one of them admitted being danish and a rep.
So still at the 65K vs. 16M
I guess math is not their strength.
But, their memory also bad: I told them SE makes phones with 256K
but why if it is only a gimmick? :)))

Has anyone noticed a slight looseness on the right side of their Xperia recently (screen is slightly higher on the right than the left)? Whenever I press on the right side of mine it makes a noise.. and it wasn't like that for the past 4 weeks that I've had it for...

To me SE have the best phones which is really useful and excellent quality. As they say once u go SE u wont go back and i agree on that as i was an x Nokia user. I have been a big fan of SE since i got my first SE K700i, any ways just want to say to the Anonymous guy Bro get a life. There is much more to life that fighting over HP screens or what ever.. peace! n ps XPERIA X1 ROCKS!!!

if lower color (65k) screen is increase the battery backup, then why sony ericsson put 65k in xperia...?
SE should put 47 CSTN color screen in xperia bcoz,
47 CSTN color screen increase more battery power.
what a logic you give from your "NARROW MIND"..
and for your kind information...................
high pixel screen only make the "CRYSTAL & CLEAR"
picture,video and text....
in other side 16m color produce more "VIBRANTE & TRUE"
picture and video.

How the the Xperia play videos such as those downloaded. And does it accept memory cards? also How big is the internal memory?
