alex, 13 Dec 2008how can i instal ymessenger on my expiria?????I do not know about ymessenger but i cannot get yahoo go! to work yet on xperia cause it has not ben tested yet..The xperia is brand new and a lot of stuff is yet to work on it and even voda live! has only 5 games for it..As its starts to get in main stream ,,its still early days for xperia,,then all apps that usually work should be eventually recoded to work on xperia..
MY silly qcif(176X144)12 FPS cartoons vids are upscaled and seem pixeless on xperia even tho they are been blown up 5-6 times..
What i would like to see is these codecs released to public,,the mp3 files on voda live only take up about 2mb per song but sound great its a DRV file or something plus a codec to change all my pre-existing vids to WVGAin one swoop..

Richard Cridford at mobiles.co.uk commented on the success of the X1 so far, he said that mobiles.co.uk had totally sold out of the X1 within days of getting stock and weren't expecting more stock until the 15th of December. Apparently even the Carphonewarehouse were struggling to get stock. That's when you know a handset is selling well!
The X1 has been a much bigger success than retailers were anticipating and perhaps even Sony Ericsson, evidentially by the current lack of stock.
You'd think they would work harder to produce more handsets with strong competition from other manufacturers.

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2008I am glad, as I always said to others, when someone post a ... morewhen I say business, I meant my profession. I am a newly hired associate in a lawfirm. Being the youngest in our firm, they assign me probably every case they have no time to handle plus all the conference i have to attend to. So working on the go is a must for me. I do have a laptop, but its a hassle working with a laptop at the back seat of the car while im on my way to a conference. Experia really helps me in this aspect a lot, I can do my pleadings or just write down any theory or idea of a case in office documents. (i hate to admit it, but dictionary and thesaurus applications really helped me a lot too!)
Regarding the screen: It is Brilliant! the colors are vibrant, I dont know why people are so worried about having just a 65k color screen. Personally, i dont see the disadvantage. In comparison to my N82, the screen of my X1 is even brighter and obviously bigger too.
some icons are indeed small, but like i said, i have no problems with it.
regarding the touchscreeen: I have no problems whatsoever with my unit. I can accurately click the small icons and the experia reacts to what i clicked.
regarding softwares: The most important applications for me are office applications, dictionary, web and playing any video formats.
I have no problems with reception or wifi. Im within the city limits so i guess thats why the reception is always good?. although I'm not really the type that surfs the net everytime theres a hot spot, but i did try it once in a coffee shop and I was able to connect without a problem.
i noticed that you probably have the most negative feedback regarding X1. is your unit defective? Im really fortunate that i have no problems with mine, and hoping that it will stay that way (crossing my fingers)
have you actually used experia?
remember my i.p., ill post a pic of me using my X1i if u think im not reflecting actual usage.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970dude the iphone sucks it cant even take videos and its only got a 2 megapixel camera although i do have to agree with u on nokia being really awesome cuz it is but the X1 really isnt that bad of a phone and sony ericssons usually have really good battery life.

P.S.:
I bet you would look better and more business like with a small tablet than a small PDA like phone pushing small buttons! (looking like a little mouse with a piece of cheese:)
Image is important in your line of work ;)

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2008when I say business, I meant my profession. I am a newly hi... moreI am glad, as I always said to others, when someone post a personal real good experience with X1.
(I mean not SE PR :)
Look, if you got a good/perfect unit do not worry - enjoy it.
naturally, my post is not for you to get you worried.
Enjoy your phone!
Personally? as you could read I prefer a larger screen for the type of things you mentioned.
tablet PCs between 5-12 inches screen.
But, if you happy with the X1 I have no argument.
I have used the X1 and I had less positive experience as you did.
When the unit was released the net was flooded with complaints.
The sales are slow and complaints are less.
I think there will be a second version but I doubt SE can fix all the problems since they already delayed the release over and over again.
WinMo 6.5 may fix some of the problems.
But, the reception problem probably will not be resolved until a new model released.
It is also possible that HTC just do not break legs and arms to implement the highest QA protocol.
HTC Touch HD is much better received than X1.
Anyway, feel good! :)
and think about to upgrade to a larger screen in a distant future - more ergonomic :)

It seems you already made up your mind! :)))
But, also your question just do not make sense!
Reasons:
You see message after message about the problems with x1 and you still asking?
Do you think any new post can be different than the last 8000! post?
Also, why would anybody consider the E90?
They always accuse me of Nokia fan, but I can not imagine ever recommend the E90!
It is about 700USD but for what?
Business?
What business?
So your question is just without foundation and get the X1 - all the SE fans will say the same here :)
For business I would recommend tablet PC - 8.9˝-12˝screen (Fujitsu or Lenovo
or if you need smaller probably HTC 7510 ???
but I would wait for the WinMo 6.5 at least.
