      :)))
      Ignorance has no limits.

Yes. These experts explaining to us that the Li-Po battery gets better if we keep depleting it fully and recharge again over and over again.

The reasons for all the X1 crashes that we are just not familiar with WM - although we can use other WM phones fine.

65K vs 16M another hot topic for these smart guys.

I guess they never even driven a good car - like Ferrari, Porsche - we do not use all the 500HP but nice to have the capability.

or good amplifier capability is 3Hz-200KHz +/-3dB
although we can hear between 20-18KHz the most.

Yes, I know these are hard concept for you :)

Study shows mobile device users happier and willing to spend more on services.

By Judy Mottl: More stories by this author:

Mobile phone users are increasingly happier with devices and willing to pay more for feature-rich handsets and data services, according to a new report by J.D. Power and Associates.

Sony Ericsson's handsets rank tops with wireless phone users when it comes to design, operation, features, durability and battery function. The handset maker scored 739 on the study's 1,000-point scale, and took first place for the third consecutive time in the bi-annual study.

A study from J.D. Power last week found Apple's iPhone topped business users in overall satisfaction. This survey was focused on general consumers and not business users.

"We don't want to go into detail regarding which materials are causing the problems," said Brusewitz.

More people have been added to the project to reduce the delays, he said, declining to give further details. Sony Ericsson is working closely with its manufacturing partner HTC, he said.

SE has bad quarters for a long time now - unfortunately.

I wish they would do better and their phone would be better.

I do not regret to return the X1. Actually, I can get it for less than 800 USD now which less than I payed initially.

The price drop is good in general, but not good for SE.
Dropping the price from 1200USD to 800USD in about 2 weeks is wrong planning or reaction to lack of interest.

Initially, X1 was not a big hit, and that time all the problems were not known. Now, the problems are known and obviously the interest is even less.

Se had great designs in the past but the delivery was a problem several times: too late and/or to many bugs.

I think since K850 there was not a great model.

But, even then only a month later the N82 was released - more, better features.

W902 recently released but SE set the price too high - sales are slow.

Se better get back their old engineers!

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2008We do not need PR announcement! These are the facts: ... moreAnalysts were braced for weaker market conditions after a poor first quarter from Sony Ericsson amidst continued signs that consumers are being hit by an international credit crisis, high oil prices and general economic anxiety.
Nokia, whose shares sank 5.3 percent on the Helsinki exchange, is the clear world leader in mobile phones, followed by Samsung Electronics and Motorola, which has also been suffering from poor sales over the past two quarters.

Seems that Sony was not the only one to suffer from losses...........
                  LOL!!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Does anyone remember a few years ago, when Nokia had become a laughing stock? And then the N-series came along and saved their bacon. Let's face it - without the N-series, Nokia would be long gone. Now, can anyone remember how hideously bugged those phones were for the first few months? Now they are widely regarded as some of the best phones on the market. Exactly the same thing with the Xperia.

People keep reporting the so-called "trouble" that SE were in during Q3 2008. The fact is, the market-place is fluid, trends change and companies cannot realistically expect to NOT hit a slump every now and then. SE still managed to land 3 of the top 10 most searched for spots on the internet in Oct.

mstL keeps quoting the price drop as a bad thing, but that's not how I see it. The fact is, the cheaper the phone is, the more they can sell. Since they sold so well at launch, SE can now afford to reduce the price, bringing in even more sales. Good strategy, to my eyes. I dunno where you're getting this rubbish about sales being slow. Even SE themselves are out of stock.

I enquired about returns at my nearest Vodafone store, and there have been a lot of returns, but very few of them were actually faulty. Those that WERE faulty, it was the wifi problems, which are known to have been caused by VF's branded software. It's not a problem with the Xperia itself.

You make a reasonable attempt at being selective with the information you share with us, in order to make the Xperia seem worse than it is, but the truth is, most of us can see through it. Why don't you admit the truth? You regret taking your Xperia back and now you're just bitter...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Well, SE had some quality issues in the past. Now, SE decided that HTC should make its ´flagship˝.

I always said this was a huge mistake. HTC was not known about high quality manufacturing.

Now, X1 has all kind of problems.

Cracks of the case, battery problems, someone suggested that it is due to current leakage due to ram manufacturing error.

The list of problems are long and getting londer every day.

But, this is another example to share our experiences since people can be aware of them and prevent the long term effects - like return/exchange the unit during the grace period.

Sales hit: The world’s fifth largest handset maker, which put its market share at 8 percent shipped 25.7 million units in Q3, a sequential increase but flat year-on-year. Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Ericsson announced its third quarter earnings Monday, and despite a drop in net profits, its stock soared on better-than-expected news.

Despite a 28 percent drop in net income to $384 million, down from $523.6 million last time, the Swedish vendor saw its stock rise 16 percent in trading in Stockholm because it beat the forecast of a net profit of $291 million.

Sales for the No. 1 infrastructure vendor rose 13 percent to $6.5 billion, up from $5.8 billion in the same quarter last year. Sales rose in every region except for Western Europe, where they declined 6 percent, due to weaker demand from Italy, Spain and the U.K., Ericsson said.

"Our business in the quarter has not been impacted by the financial turmoil," said Ericsson CEO Carl-Henric Svanberg in a statement. "Our customers are generally financially strong. In addition, networks are loaded and traffic shows strong increase."
