WM devices automatically go to sleep,It's not a bug but a power management feature. If your goung to spend so much money on a device then surely to goodness you can spend some time learning how to use it.

        alternative view of a pro-reviewer:

˝The most disappointing about X1 is its speed. The handset is slow, it’s very slow. We have to wait a couple of seconds for the programs to launch, screen switches aren’t fast either,.....˝

Yes, it is great - we pay 800-1200 USD for the X1 and wait for the firmware update - X1 is too buggy too many problems.

Se kept delaying the X1, now finally it is released but I guess even for the fanatics not good enough since they now started to wait for the firmware update.

by the time all things gets together the phone totally outdated!

mstl craves attention Ignore the cretin.
              Now...
The Xperia is excellent, no question. . I have proper benchmark figures from a real world device, and the reality is that the device is capable of recording VGA 30fps, but it can only playback at 20fps. Most people will not notice this, so it is not a huge issue. Coreplayer will play divx on the device if you set the quality to medium.

There are some irritating issues with bluetooth turning off when the device sleeps. 99% of all of these problems are resolved by installing the commercial version of SPB mobile shell.

I expect a new firmwire version from Sony Ericsson very very soon...

Nokia 5800 available in the US.

                The market is getting crowded:
                X1
                Iphone
                HTC Touch Pro
                HTC Touch HD
                Samsung Omnia
                Nokia 5800
                (soon: BlackBerry Storm)

They do not have the same features but generally target the same buyers.

All of them have large screens. They are kind of smart ones (phones).

I already got an X1 and it sucked.

People just want to tell others that their own phone is better - yes, you are right, I should not believe my own experience, I should trust you - a nobody.

All you do here is garbage.
You don´t even have an X1.

Anybody capable to understand that some units are fine some others are not - the best you can say is that you got lucky and got a perfect X1.

The rest of us not so lucky :))) but
good return policy takes care of everything.

nick, 25 Nov 2008meh, get the htc touch HDI agree I vote for HTC HD or Omnia.

X1 has too many bugs, the battery weak, camera etc. just outdated.

Also I have had bad experience with the reception and reliability of Wifi.

Omnia is really cheap now. (500-550USD)

HD is very popular and not too many (unlike X1) complaints about it.
