FYI, I charged my battery Fully on Thursday night, and it only died on me Monday night.
That's a full 4 days (weekend usage included), in my books that's really good!
My old K850 was a joke!

Hi for All,
I'm stuck between OMNIA and XPERIA X1, what do u think, which one is better?
In Xperia, you can install TouchFLO 3D, and U already have the Win.Mob.6.1 as like in OMNIA so in Xperia you get "3 in 1" = XPERIA Panels, Omnia's OS, and HTC Touch FLO 3D OS. I think Xperia must be better than Omnia, since it also has STOCKS and WEATHER Software.
And also it has a QWERTY Keybord, this is my opinion.

about the camera:
The hardware platform used in the XPERIA X1 is dependent on the region. The European / world variant - X1i - makes use of the Qualcomm MSM7200A chipset (made in 2007), while the American variant - X1a - will make use of the Qualcomm MSM7201A chipset (made in 2008). The MSM7201A chipset is theoretically speaking the successor of the MSM7200A chipset, although the differences are almost non-existent.
The reason for the different chipsets is said to be a Broadcom patent infringement by Qualcomm back in June 2007. The suit is said to have something to do with video compression in the MSM7200A chipsets. Because the lawsuit is about an American patent, the MSM7200A chipset is used in all non-American variants, and the newer MSM7201A chipset is only used in the American variants.
As you can probably imagine, the real difference in the chipsets is about video compression. The MSM7201A chipset limits video recordings to QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels) and up to 24 frames per second video, whereas the MSM7200A chipset supports VGA resolution (640 x 480 pixels) video recording at up to 30 frames per second.

ITS pricey cause its new out but its solid steel and thats what makes up the weight,,i am not having any problems thats to do with the fone,,i have had crashes that are associated with n82 and k770i and that is the fact that at 1,,2,,4 gb cards all runs smooth but since moving up to 8 and now 16 gb it takes ages to load up music and video and photos but so does a computer..I may actually drop down to 4gb for a while but if you think about my vista laptop when a got it its was nippy...Now the 80gb is nearly full so using a seperate half terabyte harddrive but its takes ages to open up photos and music,,so xperia ,,n82 are only doing same..
MY niggles still remain,,no equaliser but have solved that and not spent a penny plus no stopwatch but every symbian fone never had one and the keyboard can be a little washed out at certain angles in sunlight.
On the htc g1 forum a chap on their states that the more you use a product the more you get to like it and love it thats how tech should be,,however if it gets worse thats bad tech and i really thought that was a fantastic statement..I love this xperia more and more and as you start to get a little bit more accustomed to it the better it gets..
ITS all to easy to get it home mess around and give up but persevere and understand its settings and complex system..I could not get all my free apps to go on the xperia via active sync thingy so did not give up,,i thought what if I put in on memory using drag and drop and try that..."bingo" it worked except for one..I bet most would have said or thats it the fones rubbish cant even install third party app its going back..This has kept me intrigued for 3 days whereas if had gone for n96 as it was next up from my n82 i would have had it set up in hour and all my third party apps on and then thats it only to find its rubbish battery and taken it back.
I love this fone,i used it heavily after taking it off charge at 12.30pm yesterday and a bit less with it today and its at half battery..This even better battery cause i also played 4 hrs music last night but yesterday turned off 3g and used auto sensor backlight..Could go on but its still early days and have another week before deciding to keep it and thats decision is their if things take a turn for the worse.

This phone is magnificent - only word for it. Functions are boundless, and as yet I have found no negatives. Anyone who has had problems with it must have been unlucky - because it is simply quite brilliant.

Oh no. Just heard that Telstra initially has exclusive rights to the X1 which will sell in Australia next month.
That settles it, I'll have to buy it outright, unlock it and use another carrier!

trust me. it's totally worth the money.
