Thanks for explaining but i think im one of the few ppl who understand the panel concept thats why i want this phone so damn much! I just hope someone creates a nice messaging panel soon. Did u try the facebook panel and the spb mobile shell panel? They certainly look good.
And the screen is the other main reason i want to get my hands on this baby. Finally, i can browse the web with ease on my mobile and i can read pdfs clearly. Hopefully, ill be getting this beautiful phone next month. Thanks for the info!

Khalil, 23 Nov 2008hey does anyone know if the X1 can support the 16 GB MicroS... moreI am using 16gb hc micro-sd card by sandisk with not one problem BUT its only class 2 card and is slow to fill and last night it took 20 mins or so to update wm playr with 2500 files..
I went and put hsdpa on last night and could not get signal this morning bacause it locks to hsdpa and i cannot get a 3g signal in my house so disabled hsdpa and all fine..Colours are astounding with so much customisation ...
I think people think the panels are just like having different wallpapers but each panel is an actual fone screen so when you select a panel it can make it a new fone almost,,,sill glad i got black but thats all they had anyway..Switching between things can take 1-3 seconds but so does a computer you dont just come off inter net a seconds later your in wm player the seconds later in picasso so its faster than a computer in that respect...Up to now love it and not even mastered it or gone into most stuff YET!!!
One more thing is i never yet played bubblebreaker in colour cause a lot of bubbles look the same so always had to play in greyscale..Not with xperia with its pixelless display and vibrant colours ,,10/10 for screen..

anybody knows the procedure for intalling skype on this phone. it is giving a msg with the software not being a valid one.

SE had enough time to get it ready. Remember the X1 was delayed several times.
I think most people who wait for the Hikaru tried the X1 and they were disappointed.
As far as money, :))) it will be more expensive than the X1 especially seeing how fast the price of x1 is falling. the price dropped already 30%!!!

No, what is horrible is the camera of the X1.
The flash is weak.
The quality of the lens is poor.
The 3mp is just very outdated when 8-10mp cameras are released these days.

Yes, agree with the people here who prefer to wait for the Hikaru - only few more week.
X1 has too many problem. I really do not care whether it it HTC´s problem with manufacturing, SE design errors, or WM bug.
I do not care about the fight between Vodafone and SE.
I do not use Vodafone. And I still had problems with Wifi.
WM is easy for anyone with a normal IQ. I have been using WM for long time and I do not think people getting lock-ups (I had them too) because of their lack of experience with WM.
Another interesting excuse is that the battery problems are due to the fact that the unit is new :)))
If you recharge and deplete the battery several times the battery will get better. :)))
I guess this is a secrete protocol for the Li-Po batteries since the source never given.
Letś hope for the Hikaru these foolish explanation will not be necessary ;)

Guys reyla W8 till February 16th, when there is WOrld mobile COngress, you will see ther is revolution coming as far as Windows Mobile is concerned.
Nvidia Tegra expacialy, though Qualcomm and Texas Instruments have they own procesors, but Nvidia is the laud one and it now has contract with microsoft, so he will be making his own mobile Phones!
And gues waht, Nvidia Tegra APX 2500 can play 100 hours of audio and 30 hours of HD 720p video, on a normal mobile phone battery!!
So gues i will stick to my old Nokia E90 for some time more and w8 for the devices with this new processors, also Tegra 600, a faster model will outperform intel Atom and will be put on Laptop, Do NOT BUY ANY PHONE TILL 2009 FEB 16th !!!

Looks like the great SE X1 and the Nokia n96 hype was just all that. Looks like we got screwed this year and now we will have to wait and see what 2009 brings us. Wait till end of jan 09 to find out whats on the menu. I believe nokia will be the first out of the gates with a winner phone touch screen and great battery + everything that n96 has and more.

if xperia can have below spec will be quite perfect:
i) camera 8.1 megapixel
ii) improved qwerty pad
iii) smoother operation( at least not choppy and lag)

How good is this phone!
If u r not technically minded, a Windows Mobile is not for u.
I love being able to customise my mobile, & not b a follower (conformist).
And how about these morons that still talk about 65k colours!! Can those people piss off to another forum.
This phone is high-end, hence the price & specs, so there is a few of u that need to look at some other phones.
