X1 battery life much better than HTC touch HD and Iphone 3g I will tell you why my We ran the test X1 HTC Iphone . X1 was the winner with 30% remain of battery both HTC and Iphone dead . It's took us about 3hrs and 10min of used on youtube,GPS,play some movies,internet
overall X1 was the best phone ever . I'm very happy with this phone . what I like about this phone build with the fast internet loading so fast . I'm used T-mobile internet plan EDGE speed with slower than 3G but I'm ok with that you save battery life
thing that I don't like about this Phone not come with alot free OS and free game like Iphone

I did regret it. So you are wrong! Many people have regret it. The sales are slow. The price is falling fast!
People do not return the X1 without any reasons:
- it is SLOW
- buggy
- poor reception
- low volume (speaker)
If you like it, that is fine with me.
But, many of us just very disappointed with the X1.
There are also pro-reviewers who expressed similar disappointment - all published on the NET. Do your homework!
Hikaru will be out soon. SE needs a success/winner fast. They have been working on it for a while. The X1 release was delayed several times.

Firstly to colour blind anonymous,this fones screen puts my n82 screen to shame,its twice as bright and colours super lucid and vivid..
Now to the serious chat and will try to answer questions,,
No auto-rotate but does not bother me i switched it off in n82 its annoying
The SAR value at the ear of xperia in my pamphlet is o.57,,and when worn close to the body the max value recorded is 1.03..
I am using mp3 ringtones so a mixed up mp3 ringtone should work..
The fonts are changeable from largest to smalest in 4 steps...
I got no memory card with mine which is good it keeps price down and you choose your size,,i am using 16gb micro-sd high capacity by sandisk,,its only class 2 whereas my 4gb was class 6 so expect a natural slowdown of read/write speeds due to the cards NOT the xperia,
I am loving it so far and battery ,,well did second charge yesterday and hammered it with bluetoothing,,web browsing ,,video playback,,mp3 playback,,download 8 third party apps,,played bubble breaker,,messed about with massive cornucopia of customization options and still no way set up yet,,i keep improving everything as i start to get to grips with xperia,,sent some 3 mp cam pics to uncle...In cluding half hour break for drink,,grub,,headache tablets i got low warning 9.5 hrs after second charge..I think most people would struggle to flatten it in their working day and reminds me of my p900 in that it lasts and lasts..still getting to grips with it and using n82 for now till confindent with super xperia,,bye for now..

i never use this phone be4 since none of the people i knw buy this one yet...
in my country it seems the brand name of sony ericsson pda's has been defeated by HTC.. but i personally really looking forward to try it since pro and diamond is a big mess..
from the comment that i read it seems this phone is working ok..
but one question does it freezes a lot like winmo typical phones?

no you are wrong here, it only autorotates when keybord is slided out. There is no motion senzor, whih ch i actualy like, as i sometimes lay on bed when looking at mobile, and would thereofre had to diasable autoroate...
But you have 2 extra buttons on side, so you can set on od tham to make your screen rotate.

Does anyone know if this device, or any cell phone, accepts home made mp3 ringtones..? Or do they all have to be downloaded now..?
We should have the freedom to make our own, for personal use, because we all enjoy different parts of the same song & like to mix it ourselves too.

First of all, anything above a 3.2 Megapixel camera is basically pointless on a phone. If you want MASSIVE pictures, then go with a digital camera as I truly doubt anyone serious about photography is going to rely on their phone to create a portfolio.
Second, how exactly do you think the screen should be upgraded? It\'s 3\" at a 800x480 resolution. This is currently the highest resolution in the mobile community.
I personally think SE hit all the nails on the head with this device.

Over at Mobile Tech Addicts, Russ has found that FlashLite works within the Opera browser on the Xperia X1.
FlashLite allows you to play flash content, such as games and YouTube videos directly from the Opera browser. Russ reports that flash games seem to work fine. He found YouTube to be slighly laggy though. Hopefully future versions of FlashLite will fix this issue.
You can download FlashLite from http://www.Modaco.com along with other great software for the X1.

hey guys, im interested in getting this one instead of c905 but i have few questions since ive never had a Windows mobile before.
How easy is it to navigate around the hadset since as ive seen texts and link fonts are quite tiny?
2. About basic usage of phone, texts, calling, contacts, media player and camera - can you do add that to the "panel" for easy access.
because im just thinking situations like on a night out - clubbing and stuff(had a few drinks)lol if you could still navigate reasonably well.
3. is this compatible with vista? like word 2007 and cant it open powerpoint as well? ( you see i need this facilities for university, im a student.
Please answer to those who have this handset. I would be very grateful.

well... it is a fantastic telephone! i'd love to get my hands on it as soon as i can manage to save enough. it is really not about the 65k or 16m color... read the pixels people. that is what will bring the clarity and brilliance here. also, any idea on the SAR for this instrument?

u sony ericsson fanboys r chattin crap how can u say the fone has a good screen wen it has 65k colours ffs maybe ur colour blind or have never experenced the joy of a 16million colour screen i had xperia n it was crap especially wen i put it side by side wiv a fone wiv 16million colours try it n ull c the 16million colour is much better n the camera is useless it cant match a 1.3mp 6630 ffs n dont lie by sayin xperia dosent reboot n feeze face facts its crap n a waste of money
