Revenant, 22 Nov 2008Umm, actually it's YOU who needs to be accurate. At no poi... moreI am not bothered by you or any trollers here. :)))

Enjoy your phone. You are the one who keep coming after me - I guess you were told - instead of enjoying your X1 if you have any.

There are several people left their opinions here without any of my respond.

The topic here is the X1 and you making it personal.

You express hatred, you putting label on me, you accuse of ... and you are the one ....

I have written it several times:

I hope the next X (X2) Hikaru will be a great phone.

I wish it will be the best phone on the market.

Unfortunately, the X1 is not up to my standards. It may be good for many people, but certainly not for all. Many, many people got disappointed - see some of posts in the last few weeks - and many many had returned the unit.

So the bottom line is that ´anytime´ etc. just false statement from you, and you just try to get me upset. But you are, who ever you are just not in the position to do that what ever you do :))))))))

There are dozens of messages here saying how great the phone - go try to get a fight with them :))))

Again, if you have (anybody) an X1 and you like it, power to you, enjoy it. Buy another, buy 5 of them and give it away for Christmas, Hanukkah etc.
That is fine with me, I am happy for you!

      :)))))

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2008:))) There was only ONE review I had questioned!!! If yo... moreUmm, actually it's YOU who needs to be accurate. At no point did I state that you questioned more than one review. I DID state that whenever somebody posted a link to a review, you responded that it was a child, or a business graduate or whatever. Now, I've seen at least 3 occasions in the last few days where you've responded with that. Maybe it was all to the same review, maybe not. But I never said otherwise.

And how long did you spend with the Xperia before you decided to return it? Did you install any of the tweaks?

Bottom line seems to be this - you're a hater. Anytime someone says something positive about the phone you're gonna disagree. You seem to be on a one man (or woman, I dunno) crusade to destroy the phone's reputation, good or otherwise. If you don't like the Xperia, can't you just be happy with the phone you DO have, and leave those of us who DO like the Xperia to our own devices...?

brynn, 22 Nov 2008just got in ten mins ago and unpacked it and its on charge.... moreVodafone have messed too much with the x1 every other carrier has more or less left it alone but Vodafone had to go and mess with it. They replaced the Google panel with a Vodafone live one that you cannot remove and if you try use the wi-fi it will just not connect .
I got my x1 last week and returned it yesterday. I contacted Vodafone about the problems I was having with the wi-fi and was told that in making some of the changes to the phone that they had messed up the wi-fi and it will not work and are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
Sony ericsson have also confirmed Vodafone are having issues with the phones wi-fi and are working with Vodafone to resolve the problem but they also told me that all other networks are unaffected and should send the phone back to Vodafone.
Xperia X1 is an awesome device let down by stupid meddling vodafone

I do not suggest that you should rely on these reviews - but it should make you think and make you careful - CHECK the unit out before you buy it. I did and I did not like it. Did you? :)))

˝To be blunt, the Xperia X1 isn't quite up to snuff with the top smartphones in the market from an overall standpoint. Whether you're talking about its $800 price tag, stylus-based resistive touchscreen or 3.2 MP camera, this is a phone that would have fared better amongst early adopters a year or two ago.˝

This was written by another known pro-reviewer:

˝The most disappointing about X1 is its speed. The handset is slow, it’s very slow. We have to wait a couple of seconds for the programs to launch, screen switches aren’t fast either,.....˝

                    Quote from a Pro-Review:

˝Summary: I don’t know what to say… Xperia has been a huge disappointment for me.˝

If you are unable to be accurate you deserve an X1 :)

Lock-ups, bad reception would not bother you - PROBABLY!

We post our ˝OPINION˝ here. If you can not find the reviews I had mentioned I feel sorry but that is your problem. Your incompetency do not justify that you accuse me of anything.

By the way, I checked out who wrote the article in every case. ;)

And why is it that, whenever anybody else posts a link to a review praising the Xperia, your response is that the review must have been written by a child. How do you know this? Answer - you're making it up. Why is it that you always post the same two or three quotes? Why can you never post a link? Answer - because you're making it all up...

Yes, all these PR staff, hired guns, SE fanatics so smart.

Yes, negative opinions/experiences will not be accepted by the reader only your PR - I guess your always right. People in general what to believe that X1 is just perfect.
SE have taken almost a year with HTC help to release this perfect phone. While HTC, Samsung etc. teleasing phones left and rigth.

So many people were waiting, so when the phone got released even the fans got disappointed. SE was not ready, so all the negative comments just flooded the net. Now, the hype is at full strength.
The negative comments are down since few people actually buy the unit. But, the phone is the same:
                              - wifi problems
                              - reception
                              - slow performance
                              - lock-ups

                              etc.

Readers do not ned to beleive anything. Go ahead and try it. Try is next to HTC HD, or Omnia etc.
                              (both cheaper)
and get it with a good return policy, and zero restocking fee.

                              Good luck. :)

brynn, 22 Nov 2008I am thinking of getting it today i hope i am doing right???Absolutely. But be patient with it, especially if you've never used WinMo before. If you have used WinMo, you should be fine. Also, as I've said on here before, the battery may seem a bit dodgy at first. After it's been fully charged, the fully depleted and fully charged again a couple of times, the battery will get broken in and will last longer, so give that a couple of days. Most places will have a 14 day return policy. I'd have a play around with the phone for a few days, and if still not satisfied by day 10, think about a return, but I'm pretty confident that you'll be happy with it...
