I just got this phone about a week ago, i will give u my honost opinion, i have tried a lotta phones. The xperia is very sylish looking and has MANY windows mobile options and details to customize your phone. you can type in many ways, the transcriber works really good so does the wifi. One complain i have about it for paying a lotta money is i find that i has sometimes slow response time. not all the time but sometimes.it lives up to expectations if your gonna use all the options and have a data plan for it or else don't waste your money.

SE should recall or cancel the X1. I guess we know now why the X1 had been delayed over and over again.
Omnia is getting great reviews and much more reliable than X1.
It costs about 40% less.

So your problems, screen not tourned off-can be fixed by program, as can most of your problems.

general impression, the reception is worse than the HTC diamond and N95 i had.
Engadget noticed the problem in their review. There is also a post on the xda x1 forum about it(not by me, lol)¨

I recently changed my phone having been a Nokia fan for ever the N96 was.... well shockingly bad and had to be returned. Next was the Blackberry curve which was faulty on delivery,The X1 was suggested to me by Vodafone and it is the first time i've changed from Nokia. The X1 although a little heavy is just brillant, it is a super wee bit of kit,BUT the faults
Bluetooth switches off if not used which is a problem in the car,Sony accept the problem but are not sure if they can fix it,the X1 is problematic in low signal areas and will not even send txt's.
Back on the car issue, the screen shuts down too and can only be wakened by pressing the on button or pulling out the keyboard,bit of an issue when driving, as is no key pad when they ask you to press button 1 or 2. sony said today to me if they can't fix the issues they may well classify the phone as not suitable for car use !!! can't see that myself.
Don't know what to change to the blackberry storm or the samsung omnia ?

Naji, 19 Nov 2008Hi All , 65K colors for the large LCD? that for a $$$? ... moreThe reason SE are not implementing a 16m colour screen is that the human eye is incapable of distinguishing between that many different shades, and it uses up battery a lot faster. Why reduce your battery life for something which, on paper, seems better but in actual fact doesn't make a difference to what you see...?

I'm in the highest band, and they're still not playing. Which is why I'm jumping ship.
Oh, and I only reached the £100 mark a couple of times...

but yeah, anyway, i was talking to some bloke in orange the other day and i was trying to get hold of the htc touch HD (cos its exclusive to orange right) and they operate on a basis where if you go over every month, you are put into a higher loyalty band kinda thing, so they are more likely to give you the handset for free.
he showed me the different bands and the higher band you are, the cheaper the handset is on a 35/month. they normally want £129 for the handset plus 35/m contract, but i only have to pay £49! whey!
