i just bought x1i in indonesia @ Rp. 9000000. The device is amazing!! i like nokia but after i see the x1 so nokia look a doll..no nokia phone like this...
xperia is the best!!!
people who said tha x1 is a bad phone i think the people is crazy or they always give many bad comments with feeling based..

I have this phone goin' on 3 weeks now I love it with all my heart! Yeah it lags here and there, but the things you can do with this sucker is off the chain! I have both Touchflo 3D and SB Mobile Shell and it makes the mobile Xperience a breeze. I lost track of the custom ringtones I have (30 sec mp3s). I forgot what program it is, but I can use WMV as video ringtones for incoming calls. I also customized the open and close sound on the keyboard, somethin' similar to the sidekicks. And I got custom alert sounds for IM's, email, sms, and mms (1-5 sec mp3s)!!! I downloaded Beejive and now I have ALL the IM's that can run in the background. Copy & paste is to die for! One thing I like about WM 6.1 is I can upload or create an image them mms it to all my friends! Even animated gif images too! I've made ton of holiday animated gif images to send off to my contacts. Hell, I even got friends beggin'me to mms them pictures so they can foward them! In Opera I can select and save images off the web and mms or email them with ease. A stable flash support is on its way hopefully. I'm waitin' for a non-beta version of Skyfire. Bein' able to browse MySpace, Facebook, and all them other sites that stream music and video and display the entire page like an desktop. Got the Youtube app. Thanks to the Xda Developers there's a tweak to mod the noticfication lights. Lookin' forward to video backgrounds in the future. Heck, I'll even settle for animated gif images. I barely started importin' themes. Right now I have a red theme and the notification lights always glow red. Coreplayer is blessin', I can drag and drop a variety of video files without conversion and they play with no problem. I can also edit the T9 dictionary, fonts, and add new symbols. It seems like everyday I change my sms/mms signature because I'm always addin' new symbols and what not. Converstation style sms/mms is the business! I can forward and send to multiple contacts with no problem. I just hope a developer design a better fish panel. It'll be cool if it was like an actual fish tank rather then lookin' down at it. I hope we get street view in an update, Google. You people complain about the touch screen not as good as the iPhone but I use the optical joystick and d-pad as if there isn't a touch screen interface. Last but not least, there is a tweak to increase the sound! I have some old software (6 years old) that I still use today to increase the volume on my mp3's up to 1000%. I can make any headphones/speakers sound loud! This phone is worth every penny if you can aford. That's if you like keep control over your phone! I can't wait till Thankgivin' and X-Mas to so off my phone to my family. Every year I have a new toy to show off...I LOVE THIS PHONE!!!

all xperia owners must download xperiatweak it has options to change fonts cache and so on. Then check software like SBSH PhoneWeaver which enables you to navigate/access functions in a finger friendly manner. check xda developers.com for general tips n tricks and ppcwarez.org for free software

It's the most annoying, illogical phone I have EVER used in 20yrs, how can these good people offer a phone that you can't use with one hand, need the 'pen' to navigate, cannot just reply to text messages and need glasses to read a text.
I love the principal of it, combined PDA, mobile Word etc, but why oh why, not make the phone function like a normal mobile, too??
It should have touch screen alpha and numbers so that you can multi-task on the go, hence mobile-doh!
I have now sent it back, reluctantly, as I really, really wanted to be able to use it, but there was a real danger I would just throw it out the car window!
Please try again Sony Ericsson, go back to the W801i or C902 (tho that has graphics like a cartoon!)for the 'top' level functionality/use but with all the great PDA bits behind that, and I would snap your hands off, I'm now going to try the C902, sadly!

personally, i think the guys from gsmarena are working right now on something really special on this phone, (can’t you see they are ridiculously silent about it ?) because as brandon miniman said on http://www.pocketnow.com , „sony ericsson was right by declaring it a "game changer" - this has raised the bar, and if the panel interface takes off and we see a lot of neat panels, the x1 could become a benchmark mobile device.” that’s for sure ! "benchmark mobile device" is the right expression for this phone. i didn’t get the chance to put my hands on this phone yet, because of the country i live in, but i watched allmost every video about it and i think this phone is the begining of a new era of mobile devices. it is great. it is so well-proportioned. it has so many specs, that’s why i think it is so hard to review it. it is not great in everything (talking about photo and video jobs), but anyway, the way it combines this specs is wonderful and it is representing a new wonderful beginning for sony ericsson and for the future of communication technology. and more, i always believed that for making a great job on something, you need time and that’s something we don’t always have at use. so good luck guys and … patience, patience, patience !

i've got the phone yesterday from vodafone. it is a beautiful looking thing this.
now lets get dirty, its slowwwwww. not that slow, but slow like, wen ur dying it might take time to call the ambulance. but its cool. i can live that until im dying.
features are way better than g1 which i have also used. touch screen is a problem because this phone is small, smaller than u think. but its sweet.
nothing has caused problems, until i realised that the wen i bring out the keyboard, u can feel the screen moves which is painful because i dont want it to break. i will phone vodafone to tell them this.
wen u goto utube n if u live in a area with bad reception, then u wont happy.
panels are slow, it takes about 2-3 seconds for the panels to adjust wen changing fone from vertical to horizontal, apart from that its the best fone ever.
im giving myn back for a new one. but i wont change for the world.
u wont get bored with the fone. ul def enjoy this bad boi. its better than the g1 without doubt. i have not touched the pro yet but if there is no change with the x1 im getting baby.

65k is a restriction of Windows Mobile, check out any other WM device and you'll see.
