This phone uses a li-po battery. This type of battery needs to be charged a few times before reaching its maximum performance. Let the battery deplete fully and charge it again a few times. After 3 days or so it should be fine...

My word 833 hours battery life.
I'm willing to buy this phone if someone can prove to me that it even lasts half that time on standby.

I have had mine for 4 days now....
Battery life by far is the best I have seen as is the reception.
Feels solid in your hand, well built.
The only problem I can see is the screen is not flush with the bezel, makes it very prone to dirt in the corners and makes the touch screen harder to use

The major manufacturing and/or design problems are there and keep people reporting. SE/HTC was unable to fix them even after delay after delay of the release.
Battery, reception, and bluetooth problems are real!

this phone is excellent in its quality to the extent of its conception i love it!!!but but but there is a major/minor problem where it incessantly keeps dying the battery keeps dyin!!!It is lovely but i think sony can do beta subsequently and simaltaneously!!!

I have said this before,,persons MUST leave a name even if its just a letter or number so we can reply and where they are from and network they areon...Leaving it annonymous suggests lies from the start and how do we know that you are not in a rural area with weak signal and thats whats affecting battery and signal strength..Slow could mean anything,i would say my computer is slow and my n82 but only by perhaps 1 or 3 seconds after pressing button to doing the action.

SE X1a (US version) is about to hit the US market at BestBuy next month by early december for $799 (USD).
For the haters: lets just say this its always gonna be the same way u gonna act...Ppl getting this fone know what they want. so when u go shoppin, u know what u want. In terms of Usage-battery: whatever app that u not using inn the background just turn it off dummy!
Man let ppl leave or go get ur own fone. Nothing will ever the 100 or 1000 % perfect so some ppl can work and improve technical stuff

Before you buy X1 I should check out at SONY forum website there was so many problem that X1 used report http://www.xperiax1.net/forum/ I got x1 for 2week now very good but I have 3 things that I didn't like battery life and the phone big and heavy reception poor . OS and panel was very good and fast

I dont see where all these negative comments are coming from??? I dont own one but ive just got back from the vodaphone shop where i tried one, it looks awesome!!!! Its as quick as anythin! wasnt slow at all, reacted immediately 2 anything i did, and ive been told the battery life is fantastic!!

Compare to other hi-end phone X1 is overpriced and buggy!
BTW, in about a week the price dropped 20%!!!
It is typical: the prices of SE phones falls really fast!
By Christmas it will be 50% off! If SE still make it.
I think X2 will be out soon.

Got the X1 yesterday, put my XDA to the side for this thing. It is heavy and I will not try to tell people it is all roses, but I do like the phone. Sturdy built and the GPS function is the best I have seen on a phone yet. Got it on an Orange contract.

X1 too late with too many problem - especially for 900 USD.
