got xperia last wk its total crap keeps freezin n dead laggy screen is ok but its got piss poor 65k colours n the browser is crap nowhere near as good as the safari browser windows fones r all the same CRAP i'll never waste money on them again I'm waiting on nokia 5800 it does all the xperia does plus more looks better n has the renowned symbian os anyone thinkin of buying xperia should think again and wait for a REAL touch smartphone

Is there any difference between the USA model and UK model or are they both the same except 3g doesn't work in USA.Can some one help please.Thanks

What about when you are connected to a server with exchange will it still use the active sync in the background and drain the battery

Wondering why your Windows Mobile Phone's battery life is shorter than you expected when you are not not even using it much? One reason is that Activesync may be running in the background without even you knowing and draining your battery. There is now a utility that can "kill off" the Activesync and prevent it from running in the background unnoticed. It will only run when you really wanted to Activesync. hg, 07 Nov 2008I find this phone not all its cracked up to be. mine is goi... morelook the xperia x1 is like a computer..you can install 3rd party software to acheive basically anything you want.Install Coreplayer then you'll find you can adjust the base output etc. The xperia is the best winmo handset I have used really once you optimized it for peak preformance and install 3rd party apps it seriously rocks

LEE-C , 07 Nov 2008it R11 000.00Saw Cellucity has a special on the X1, pay R650 for 24 long months and get phone free, plus an extra R200 admin fee(new contract), if you upgrade then you have to pay in about R5k plus admin fee (ridiculous. called them today and they told me to add another 35% to the prices advertised - suspect prices gone up before the Xmas holidays

I find this phone not all its cracked up to be. mine is going back on monday as it has poor signal on vodafone. also there's only one speaker on the left at the bottom and you only need to cover this a little ie in your pocket and that enough not to hear it. the speaker quality is poor and there's no base and loads of treble. its locked up three times in two weeks and for spending £35 a month for 18 months is not good enough. the alarm doesn't work if you turn your phone of so you have to leave it on all night. for me they have thought more about the design and look instead of looking after the first reason why you buy a phone. TOO CALL. i will look at the blackberry storm or the htc touch HD.

I've got this awesome phone today features is reallly really good. I would like to find out if there is anyone of you encountering difficulty on how to send and recieve bluetooth items to this phone, unable to recieved bluetooth business card from N73/W960 eventhough all devices are paired and visible to each other. Please advise. Thanks

I just come back from Sony Style (IMM, Singapore). The saleman says X1 is for Sony Member ONLY. he does not know when it will be available for others. he does not know the price also. :(((

One thing with ALL phones which use Li-ion batteries, it takes 4 or 5 cycles until they start performing anywhere near their peak, usually it takes a couple of weeks of normal use.
It is impossible to achieve that in 2 days unless you were on continuous calls for the 48 hours.
I've seen comments about "poor" battery life and people taking phones back (usually to change for a Nokia for some reason) across multiple phone models (usually not Nokia's for some reason) which to be honest seems like absolute bullsh*t.
SE has done a great job with their first WM device, here's to many more in future.
Now if only they could get Apple to let them use OSX ;)

Ive had it 3 days. Best phone ever had. Windows Mobile 6.1 vast improvement. If your a geek, you'll love it. If your not a geek the you love the keyboard. Most user friendly windows phone Ive ever used.
Get a screen protector and leather case though.
