i am sorry but the XPERIA is the phone of the year! The xperia is a fantastic phone! i brought mine two weeks ago and is the best thing i have done, i previously had the Samsung Omnia but found the battery life was poor and bad feature bugs, the S-E-X phone has a very good battery, has downloadable panels and the panel features are GROUNDBREAKING! the key board is better that the G1 and HTC PRO! internet speed is very fast yes the screen is a bit small but with phones like Omnia and iphone is that you can't see the whole screen whilst your texting and you can with the Xperia so what the BIG deal i don't want a widescreen TV in my pocket! buy the Xperia you wont be disappointed.

The grip is quite alright, other than being heavy and bulky, it's really a great phone! The panels rock cause they make navigation much easier. Messaging part is cool, except that they don't have on-screen keypad typing (if you understand). Cost: $1298!

So please tell me were this is availible an i buy it right now!! As far as my information is going the USA NETWORK 3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 is not even released.
Don't confuse here everybody, there a 2 version exist. Xperia X1i and Xperia X1a
This information is found on the Whitepapers and at this time only the Xperia X1i is released with the European Network Compatibility. This X1i is NOT compatible with the US Network, even (i guess because i have seen it on the Touch Pro European Version) the Keybord is different as the US.
If i am wrong, please correct me.

I an concerned with reports of taking fone back after 2 days,,Why?? Well firstly you cannot even get used to something that fast after giving it a good charge,,doing a video test ,,cam test,,response test,,texting test,,email ease of use,,document time of writing test,,signal test,,wifi test,,navigation test,,game play test,,email set up,,battery test,,customise normal,,customise wimo 6.1,,set up delivery reports,,input email details,,start to dowload apps,,test apps,,make some fone calls for earpiece test,,handfree test for clarity at each end testing,,web testing for quickness of downloading pages,,page rendering on the wvga screen of the web and video and flash operation,,button testing on keyboard and lower screen,,reflectiveness of screen in sunlight and so forth,,i think normal people know what i am saying..OK sometimes you do get a faulty handset i have had few in my life and every company even argos gives a replacment unit,, but to say one simple thing about no signal thats it its going back and not even trying a replacement sets bells rimging,,and even tho you say your not a nokia fanboy almost suggest you are..IF and when i get xperia i wont just take it back in 48hrs,,what kind of trial is that,,you try ot the stuff that you need and if its faulty get a replacment you dont just give up..

i was looking forward for this fone for months and months - i then got bored of waitign and got the htc touch diamond - which is a great fone i love it to bits, but my mate got the x1 yesterday he was looking forward to it for months and eventually it came and first looks he wasnt that impressed so i played around with it and it was slow hung the back doesnt stay on it keeps unclipping the signal is dropping off every 5 mins and he is on 02 and i stand he has another fone nxt to him with full signal he was really disappointed with the fone and it was def not worth the wait - VERY DISAPPOINTED SE
p.s im nt one of these nokia fan boys - i really wanted 2 get this fone origanlly but couldnt wait any longer and from my m8 says - im glad i didnt wait!

CCn, 06 Nov 2008I think HTC HD touch will be better than X1 build in Accele... moreX1 with optical trackpad has better use than HTC HD accelerometer sensor. You can use this trackpad to play Neo Geo, GBA & other game emulators.

Anyone here already used the X1 Can you Please tell the true . overall how was the battery and how heavy and the size of the phone . not much software come with the phone just the basic wm 6.1 you will getting bore look at the fish

I think HTC HD touch will be better than X1 build in Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and big screen battery life better and the size smaller everything else are the same with X1 cheaper too

Don't get betrayed by nokia fanboys who seem so jealous that nokia cannot produce a set like this. Its a greta set, I repeat its a GREAT set, better than any nokia crap, only nokia fanboys and those noobs who don't know anything about windows mobile are creating confusions here, most of those people who only know how to switch a pc on and don't know anything about windows are calling this set crap, its an extremely stylish and elegant set, with lots of features. Hey nokia fan boys...how many firmware updates n95 took to become stable??do you even know that??n95 was extremely buggy when it was released, X1 is nowhere as buggy as was N95.
But I can understand how nokia fan boys are feeling, lost and depressed because no nokia can compete with this set and with N96 becoming a big flop...I can understand why are they so upset. Just don't listen to them.
