Im from the U.K... been a proud owner of a silver x1 for 7days now. No problems so far.I use it for work mostly, as i work in the education sector. I have 3 email inbox's send/receiving every 5mins.Using the memory card allows you to download full attachments easy. Ive found there is no lag with the os, whilst having multiple programs open. Ive found the opera browser run slower compared to internet explorer.Battery lasts me 24hr (charge every night), which i find amazing. Some people may say thats rubbish. Taking in the facts that im constantly send/recieving emails from 3 different providers, recieving numerous txt/mms and around 10-15 calls a day lasting around 15-25mins each, and using the the 800by400 screen to brows the net with ease. I think this phones rocks!!. Name me another phone out now that can the same....

We do not need to read 10 reviews (written by pros) since the unit is out!
I myself was surpriced since the battery specs look good. But, something draining the power or the battary is not up to its job.
The Li-Po battery is a relatively new tech, SE had trouble with it before.
BTW, there are some ugly and expensive phones but those are not the one we should compare to.
There are some great phones and more to come.
X1 has to compete with those in 2009.
With the lousy battery, with the buggy software, and with the bluetooth problems X1 got no chance!!!!
And since SE had 10 months (SE kept pushing back the release) to fix these problems I doubt they ever will.
I hope for a decent X2 - more competition is better!

I red abaut 10 reviews of X1, and battery for one is the one best thing of X1, all confirmed it. HTere is no phone on market, that hold that long as this one.
I hope somone buying this phones ready real reviews, not comments ongsmarena...
Every single Touch Pro vs X1 review ended saying X1 is better...
And for overpricing, haha look at that, Nokia N96 is as expensive, even more!!
Thought it has looots of things worse than X1, can't belive what mindless Nokia fan will buy it...

HTC is not known for good quality control and that is shows with X1 although some of the problems probably due to design errors.
It has been almost one year! and SE can not get this phone ready.
After only a few days of release, the net was flooded with complaints:
- slow, buggy performance
- weak battery (due to RAM???)
Yes, the X1 is not a 10MP toy, it is a 3MP prototype with bugs for 1000 USD and for the 2009 market.
I bet by February the X1 will be canceled.
I think SE used the delays to develop X2 (since X1 is obviously unfixable).
X2 will be out soon! Until then keep playing with the X1 or look somewhere else.

If you want a device that works at capacity straight out of the box then please don't buy the Xperia X1. WM devices are designed with flexibiliy and user preference in mind. If your comfortable with reg hacks etc then you'll find this device can preform to a level not seen before.

As someone mentioned before, this is a MAN'S phone not some kiddie nokia toy phone with 10000 mp camera, this phone is designed to for a special niche, you can't compare this to your crappy nokias. It's a whole different ball game so stfu!

just got the x1 today, from a professional and non professional user, its the best phone out in the market, and for 650 usd, i cant complain, also for ppl who claim its slow, their slow, this phone is extremely fast, i used to use a iphone, but its no match for the x1, it might not have a accelramoter, but the screen switch faster than an iphone would, trust me, this is 10 out of 10 device, and the keyboard is also great, i understand many ppl claim they dont like it, but their just used to other keyboards, this keyboard is amazing

i still having problems with bluetooth not working with my mac and i very short battery life but i know these issues will be solved soon give the phone a try in four weeks time . i know the email settings are coming soon.
the build quality is excellent and the rest of the ohone works fine intenet voicecalls and its easy to use for a window mobile. when i on the train everyone looks at my phone i love it. but the new blackberry looks wicked should change my phone guys?
