Anonymous, 23 Oct 2008Don't you mean rather get a Samsung innov8 or a N series?Sy... morethats whwre you are veeery wrong, i am power user and i have Nokia E90, but the limits of symbian are just so annoying, i am very sad there wasn't phone till now, that has haedware as good as nokia E90, buit ha s windows mobile instead.
symbian is becoming more and more smart, but still it is intednded for phone, with little aditional features, windows Mobile is just a PC, can' get anzthing better.

We’ve got great news for all those Sony Ericsson loyalists and techies who have been patiently waiting for the arrival of the XPERIA X1 locally. We’ve received confirmation that the XPERIA X1 will hit Sony Ericsson concept stores nationwide on Nov. 14, 2008.
Sony Ericsson Philippines will also be putting up a dedicated site for the XPERIA X1 which will go live on November 1 for those who wish to make an advanced reservation to be guaranteed a unit when it becomes available. Of course, this is still on a first-come first-serve basis so it still pays to sign up early. As for its price, let’s just say that P40K will be enough to get you one. For our part, we’re cooking up an XPERIA X1 review as we finally got our grubby hands on one, but it’ll take a little bit of time since this baby’s got a ton of features we’d like to go through first before releasing our take on this long awaited smartphone.
Is it worth the long wait? We’ll soon find out. Just stayed tuned as we’ve got a lot to say as far as the XPERIA X1 is concerned.

kenosis, 24 Oct 2008I have decided to sell my current Omnia to my friend becaus... moreI think the Omnia much better phone for much less money!
Besides the tech data, for me the size also matters.
Xi is too bulky for my taste and my pocket.
As far as reliability - Omnia seems pretty good compare to SE recent and not too recent phones.
You can get almost 2 Omnia phones for the price of the X1.
I guess the X1 a little overpriced??? don´t you think? :))))

I work as a MDM for Sony Ericsson in Sa and will be recieving my X1 in 5 days time and cannot wait to have my own unit.I have had privelged chance to actual use the phone about two months ago and all i can say is 'WOW'.I have been in the mobile industry for 9 years and have yet to experience a phone as awesome as this. It's late, true, but who care's. all great things are worth the wait.
Cost of the phone is between R6999 and R8500 and is due to be released mid november 2008 in South Africa
So to the fools who knock this phone and have not used it and have no idea about mobile phones. Do us true SE fans a favour and DONT buy the X1 but get yourselves a Samsung OMNIA i900 instead and live to regret it . peace
