The Xperia X1 is a bulk of crap which was developed and produced by HTC on behalf of SonyEricsson.
It features Standard HTC-connectors and is not compatible to genuine Sonyericsson accessories.
It lacks high end hardware features like a Cybershot cam.
The UI looks nice due to the Sonyericsson “Panel” software, but, as soon you got to know it, you’ll get annoyed, because its slow like hell, and WindowsMobile can not be handled without a pen (unlike UIQ).
This phone is truely crap and should not be sold as a Sonyericsson device, but as a HTC.

I think it will come out in November just same as the Bond movie release Quantum of Solace. SE promoted its products in last bond movie too.

I went to GITEX today. I drove to Dubai just to hold the sacred baby X1 :) its a great phone (a little bit bulky, but does not bother me).
The only thing is that after I asked the guys over there about the release-date/time they told me that it might be released by the end of 2008 OR beg. of 2009 (cost: 3400 AED).

I was in GITX yesterday and I have asked about X1 but they told me it will gonna be available next month November and it will cost 3500 Dirham about (953 USD).

I orderd the XPERIA X1 today in the Netherlands. The device will be in the KPN shop at the beginning of november.
The hardware is far more beautiful than the touch HD and the specs are good too!! I can hardly wait to use it!!

Xperia X1 has been released in sony ericsson official site and in phonearena.com and one of my friend bought it in sweden. but this site does not attention to this. thanks

Excuse me Steve!!!I am the one dealing n SE STALL & people we tried our best to get the phone but we couldnt they said they will ship it nextweek&Xperia is not available in Dubai gitex.

I think i checked for my friend in gitex they said its sold out.There were 200 pieces&yhey told it will release on the market next week.
