yeah rite this crappy fone aint out if it was this site would hav a review se mite get this lemon on the market by 2009 but dont bet on it sony ericsson r alwaz late n96 is out n by TRUSTED sources its AMAZING and very stable n fast with SUPER build quality dont waste ur gold on rubbish windows fone cz they alwaz freeze n r really slow

if you visit the CPW store, you will see it is available on ORANGE & 02, but the deal instore for ORANGE is much better than the one for 02 which they show online.

U must understand the dynamics and pressure SE developers had while developing this perfect device. You name it and it has it. All features are perfectly packed. I saw no other mobile near to XPERIA other than SAMSUNG OMNIA. I am not here comparing SE & NOKIA but let me tell you. If you like NOKIA, get on to any NOKIA mobile and write all that you want.
Don't come here onto this great state of art device.

Available on o2 from the carphonewarehouse today. Only available on £45 a month tariff at the moment according to the website.

FIRST OF ALL....
DONT expect this phone to come out working perfectly,alot of bugs will be found and remember my words.
2ND
I DONT see any testing sample being sold,i remember seeing NOKIA N96 end of last JULY 2 samples sold here as testing and the final came 2months later.testing ones were perfectly good in terms of hardware,but software needed update for those who got the test samples.
FINALLY
WHERE is SE from all that!!?how could a world wide known company make more than 5 dates of Releasing the phone since it was first appeared,I dont think thats Professional work nor does it make them get more fans or customers.........

the X1a will only be able to record at 24fps as opposed to the X1i at 30fps.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a for North American market to be announced on Nov. 3
I guess Sony Ericsson decided it was best to come out with two models of the XPERIA X1 instead of just one to accommodate the different markets in the world.
As far as North America is concerned, the X1a will be released in the region including in Latin America as well as Australia. The other model, the X1i, will most likely be the one debuting in the rest of the world which we’re still guessing when that will be since they didn’t actually release the first batch on Sept. 30 (at least as far as the Philippines is concerned). Anyway, the main difference between the two models is that, aside from the network configuration, the X1a will only be able to record at 24fps as opposed to 30fps which I personally find a bit odd.
It was also made known that the date of release will be announced by Sony Ericsson US on November 3, and hopefully this time around, they’ll be able to stick to their word. Maybe there are more differences (or not), but for now, all we can do is wait for its eventual release.

I called vodafone UK and they confirmed to me that the SE X1 will be available on th 17th October.

Ive got the dummy phone and it looks really nice. It's a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be so will be interesting to see how easy to use it is, specially as its windows mobile. Never found windows that user friendly on a small screen. Supposid release date according to O2 is the 17th of october. if it is any good I will be upgrading to it.

X1 will definately be a DUD, as exact happened with P990i 2 yrs ago, its fate is well known and P1 was released. Its performance against price is question. SE always are over priced and they fall like house of cards. Screen size plus WM 6.1 will down grade it further, as most PDAs have them now its prism design does not suit its bussiness look more playboy look

Have checked the latest issue of T3,not a single word/article about the Xperia /release etc....though T3 the best gadget mag around(what a deception), mmmmhh...bizarre....Perhaps X1 the best Kept secret device in this world (a silent bomb) ,instead they were talkin of the virtual 01 phone project. But 4 now everyone are only interested with the X1,as its not virtual.
The way things are going,the X1
will b the main attraction of the end of 2008!
