Xperia X1 Delayed Till 2009?
the guys at Sony Ericsson Blog have spotted an official Sony Ericsson webpage showing the expected release date as 10/02/2009.
Considering Sony Ericsson Blog are as reliable as a really reliable source, and that they have pointed us in the direction of an official webpage backing their claim, this looks to be solid.

I'd buy it if it had ... morewhy the heck does anyone rant about MP? what's the use of a 5 MP sensor if the lenses in front of it doesn't keep up with the quality.
just look at the HTC Diamond. the fotos get extremely blurred as long as the backcover is on the phone. a decent 2 MP camera with matching optics would produce much more usable pics.
apart from that i highly doubt, that a lot of people print the fotos of the mobiles, so they don't need the resolution anyway...

i dont like touchscreens, it violates universal law of making things simple, easy and sturdy. screen is very vurnerable to breakage and scratch, use of both hands feels very uncomfortable when your in real world, when your on the street walking, when your on your car driving..
if they'll make a non touchscreen edition of this as well as increase the camera pixel, put xenon, HSCSD, DVB-H TV receiver, increase the color resolution to 256thou at least, put a specialize music button, Put an FM antenna, 3.5mm jack, great games N-Gage level), tons of 3rd party software.. i will choose this phone over N96c",

I have nothing bad to say about this device. It was one of the best I have ever used.
And most importantly for you apple fans, this is not a "iphone ripoff" you can keep you praised iphones. This will make you forget it.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2008Yeah I agree.Symbian applications are really poor although ... moreSymbian specializes in Reality Distortion!Steve Jobs might have made it famous but Symbian are without a doubt the masters of creative bending of the truth. Descriptors, the first thing most developers will mention when ranting about how weird and difficult Symbian is to program for, is described as a gift from god. Active objects are described as the best possible event handling mechanism, despite the headaches it gives developers.Look at a tutorial, the author probably hasn't bothered to study alternative solutions. Symbians praise of the horrible UI framework feels more like an insult than anything else, and claiming that the system has been optimized to produce fast graphics on low-power devices is just crazy. Anyone who's tried using the Symbian graphics routines know that that's just not true. The only way to get decent graphics performance out of a Symbian device is to use Direct Screen Access which bypasses the system's drawing code.Symbian is an awful OS IMO

Yeah I agree.Symbian applications are really poor although better than java they're way behind WinMo's. From what I've read Symbian is hard for developers to get to grips with, maybe that explains why the apps have no depth.WinMo has it's faults but purely from a application point of view it trounces Symbian.
