"Second profit warning for Sony Ericsson
After posting poor Q4 profits earlier this year, it seems there's more trouble ahead for Sony Ericsson, as they issued their second profit warning this year, putting the blame on enced by the second profit warning of 2008 that was issued last week. SE is pinpointing the blame of unlikey seeing profits rise for the second qurter on "disappointing European sales of its mid- and high-end mobile phones". With the recently announced C905 8MP cameraphone, and forthcoming XPERIA X1, these two should hope to give the maker good results for the third quarter, but there's still the mid-end range to tackle too. "
If they dont come up really soon with Xperia and if this phone will not be a bomb as promised, i think SE is going down the drain :(

check the Omnia vs Diamond review...
The Omnia screen is bad in res in comparison to Diamond .. so Xperia will be better .. hahahah
Diamond better than Omnia ..
Touch pro better than Diamnod and
Xperia than Touch pro
and so on ..
HTC DREAM(android OS) will be better than Xperia

If someone has grown up on a diet of cheap sausages,fries and coca-cola they tend to prefer the above over top quality French cuisine .The same can be said of users who are familiar with N-series cells.They simply can't see a truly excellent product with a flexible,versatile OS.Buying or even using the XPERIA X1 would be a futile experience for such people.

between this phone and the upcoming meizu? i'd rather get the meizu with its beautiful VGA screen, not to mention that it would have a large screen display than the X1.

I agree to the dudes opinion concerning the iPhone. Apple is going to lose so many costumers threw their contract with AT&T so that Sony's Xperia will be people's No.1 soon. Now Sony just has to release this bad ass and kick the iPhone off the market. From what i have seen on the Cebit what is possible with this Phone (of course not all options fully inabled) this will beat anything on the market right now!
I am defently getting it as soon it comes out.

Ok Can someone tell me when Sony Ericsson said this device was due for release in May,June etc?SE said September.The criticism about delays is unfounded but whatever makes you happy....!

Great phone. I think I'll buy this one and leave the iphone to those who must accept the AT&T or T-Mobile crazy two year contracts. Keep it up sony!!!

So It's a good device....Is'nt it..????
But ==> and put lines under But...When it will be relased ???....Shall we wait it until it's specification will be not usefull and too many phones better than the X1 will be relased ????....Sony Ericsson have a terrible mistakes and problems in submitting their phones to the market on the right time .... thats why the other companies like nokia and and samsung had tooked the market and won the game of marketing..... very disapointing thing for Sony Ericsson Marketing Strategy..

Still willing to wait for this smarfone at this present moment and give it benefit of the doubt,but if it comes out with any serious flaws ala p990i then thats it no way...also their is still time for something completly new arriving on scene before xmas to blast this out iof the water...
