i do think nokia are by far the better manfacturer of mobile phones than sony erricson.

i mean SE released the k850 to rival..? the n95. i mean that was pathetic.

the n73 thrashed the k800.

i do think this x1 is a veerrry good phone, i just cant help but think ill miss my 5mp camera!

I see a lot of bitterness from SE fans against Nokia. I think SE makes good phones too just like the others, just not as great as most Nokia phones are. Let's face it, critics would not call the N95 as the King of smartphones if that is not the case. Many test comparisons between Nokia & other phones have been conducted by various phone critics and magazines, and the N95 consistently gets the top spot among all of them. SE fans should just learn to accept the fact that Nokia rules, and SE just kinda follows along w/ the others. Nothing wrong with that, and it does not mean that SE is no good. It's just not good enough to beat Nokia. That's all.

There's word that the X1 will not be released till October, or even early November. I guess SE is really losing it. By then Nokia Touch would be launched, & will be released by early 2009. People would wait for the Nokia Touch instead of getting this phone. SE should have released this phone by now, but I guess the bugs are unacceptable that they're uncomfortable releasing it just yet. But SE should not worry, they have lots of blind fans that would patronize their phones even if it doesn't perform well =)

Hi Ok I was in vodafone shop today and to cut a long story short asked when or if voda would stock xperia x1 the sales rep said they would but were looking at october!Perhaps what's more worrying is the fact he told me the GPS is not the same as in tytn II.He indicated the GPS would preform at level of n95 gps. That's not good!

i dont0 understand some of you, how can you compare HTC Diamond with X1. Thez are compeltly differnet. What yoi should compera is HTC Kaiser(tytn 3), because that0s the one that will have qwerty keyboard.

One thing os bothering me, why the hell can0t they make 3.5" or 4" display, neither 2.8" nor 3" is enough for me, as i have E90 with 4" and is hardly enough. I want a X1/Tytn 3 with display from E90, and Windows Mobile. Thats when i will change mz phone. only Apple seems smart enough to include big screen, but what the hack, Apple has suck OS and feature...

lol@Nokia..at first the tube was meant to be a high range device but now nokia have changed their tune and cut back on a range of features.Yep they don't have the experience to successfully make a feature rich touchscreen device.Funny how we now have people desperate to see HTC release a tytn III before x1.Don't you think SE and HTC had agreements in place?I'm sure they must have...tytn III will come but not before x1

Nokia haven't got anything to rival the Xperia X1.Nokia are having problems with s60 touch and that device won't have half the features and functionality of X1.Goes to prove it's far harder manufacturing a smartphone with touch UI.

A lot of people, if not everyone, knows that SE & HTC worked together with the development and specs of the X1. But now, HTC is about to release a line of new high-end touchscreen phones, starting with the Touch Diamond. These new line of HTC phones could might as well compete with X1 and could even drown the X1. I don't know what SE was thinking of working together w/ HTC. Just proves that they don't have their own technology to compete. HTC knows the X1 very well. Meaning, they know how to outperform it. Good luck X1.

I agree with the post below. This phone will lose the race. They've tried to make this phone very promising, and now they're having issues with the phone and can't release it yet. And I checked out the htc diamond, and it is indeed much more impressive and exciting than the x1. I was excited w/ this phone, but I do see a lot of other cool phones coming out that shifted my attention from the x1. The x1 is already starting to lose its popularity even before it's released. I don't think this phone will do well.

X1 is so awesome that they have postponed its release date several times already because they're having problems with its interface and are having a hard time figuring out how to fix the bugs, lol. HTC Touch Diamond may even be released earlier than this X1, hehehe. By the time SE figures out how to fix the bugs & ready for release, it would already be around the time that the Nokia Tube would be released. In short, this phone would be outdated by then & would be overshadowed by so many other better phones. It's already being threatened by HTC Diamond. How much more when more word comes out about Nokia Tube, lol. Luckily for X1, they have silly fanatics (a lot in this room) who would buy this inferior phone no matter what, hahaha.

Nokia is the best manufacture to give very less features at very high price. Nokia cant even reach se quality in software, musiq, quality, battery life and so on. We can make a small book to show the advantages of se over nokia...

No it's not easy to crossover from symbian to WM.Symbian is user friendly basically you open the box switch the phone on and it works.Practically all wm touchscreen handhelds need registry edits and software applications just to get them to operating as they should. If your not willing to spend hours on websites like modaco.com then don't buy a windows Mobile.

I'm delighted this unit dosen't use Symbian OS.I just hate Symbian. It's a very bad and uninspiring OS even from a programmers point of view.
