and for Nokia people comparing the X1 to any Nokia model in this discussion
sure SE rules
when it comes to build quality it is SE
S/w is sure SE specialy with the WM6.1 pro
not that symbian that nokia sticks too
using a WM PPC is more perfect for those who really needs a Smart device
it just resamplesyour own PC u can install Office , more stable programs
touch screen is sure a plus too for SE
and when it comes to camera it notthe much MP the more the quality this is a common mistake .. u can get a quality from a 1MP camera more better than a 6MP one
the MP just control the size only!!!!
and for sure anyone knows well the far quality difference between SE and Nokia
and about the one talking about the feature/price for Nokia it is the worst thing i could ever find in Nokia
plz give me one reason to buy that price for an N95 or N82 without a touch screen ??
well and for more i found a chineese imitate of the N92 for the 1/5 price of the original one and more more in the one from china they added 4 speakers and a touch screen .. yess all that for the 1/5 price ..don't this tell u how much nokia raises thier prices!!
hmm well i think it is not even fair to compare the 2 perfect well known companies Ericsson for the best hardware ever and Sony for the best software with Pooooor Nokia LOOOL

There\'s a huge difference between n nseries and xperia.Web browsing on n82 etc is not good, hey the default browser won\'t download files that are not native !browse some content heavy webpages and any n95 comes to a stuttering half hey half the pages it displays are adopted for a mobile!!who the heck wants a cut down version of the web?!GPS on n95 is a joke especially when you compare it to GPS enabled Windows handhelds.Nseries Built quality is nowhere near what you\'d expect from a high end phones.Try editing photo\'s or images on a nseries lol it\'s useless.Xperia will be able to run programs like pocket artist, photo viewer pro.Web browsers with far more options than any browser that could be used on symbian s60\'s.Check the options with WM netfront 3.3 or WM opera 9.5 then look at the symbian version lol lol.One phone is made with idiots in mind the other is not....

This phone can`t compare with any nokia, if you want a smart phone try the E series of nokia, a lot better!!!!! Nokia Rules, Best resolution, more features, best price, best support!!! Window mobile??? pfffff who cares, Symbian has very good aplications, and Nokia has Best relation price - quality and features, GPS??? why not??? and in the life 65k (65.000 colours) its the same of 16 million of colours!!! Come on!!! we are not fools!!!!

that's the reason why SE's put 65K. Not because they DON'T WANT to put more colors, but they CAN'T!

But hey! X1 has a very high resolution, 65k will be at the same quality as 256K, or even 16M

                  Yes, 65k.

Windows mobile runs at a maximum of 65k colours.

X1 has motion sensor or accelerometer ? Is that true?? No clips has presented it before. And I'm sure that TrackId is out of this specification.

Bw@e,,thanx for the help,,it seems a huge platform and if a bit of learning is involved to get used to the device the better as its part the fun..I also looked at the comparison between n82 and xperia using gsmarenas comparitor app and the xperia is not that big really,,it just appears big in photo..

Tsepz a user told you htc diamond or mda compact IV would get released but it wouldn't be a direct competitor to X1 you wouldn't listen and continued to hope htc would release a X1 killer...you were WRONG.History shows the compact range preludes htc's highest spec devices by some months.

After ALL those specs, leaked pics and rumours i was disappointed to only see the Diamond was announced :-( but the Diamond seems to have great specs except for that 900mAh battery i think Diamond aint too bad, looks a little better than X1, and its screen is wide even in portrait =)

Yep WinMo apps are really good but you need a top spec device to use them properly. The ppc\'s with 64MB RAM with only 18MB free for the user aren\'t upto the job.Xperia X1 has the hardware to run advanced programs like Pocket Artist.

Brynn Yes you will find all the applications you could possibly need.Windows Mobile has some superb apps and they tend to be far more robust than symbian apps. http://ppcwarez.org will give you an idea of what's available.

Just found an unbelievable piece of info: The Xperia X1 was designed especially by HTC for Sony Ericsson! This means that HTC's expert design and SE's brilliant creativity went into the creation of this fine device. This is to all those who think that SE cannot make a good windows mobilke phone: How couldn't a phone made by WM giants HTC along with SE not be good on windows mobile itself? I seriously cannot find a single flaw in this phone after getting to know all of this. This will be the true nokia killer! Can any nokia device match the combined power of SE AND HTC? The answer is NO! What have you nokia fanboys got to say now? I have always hated Symbian as it is the most insecure platform of all. This gets Nokia kicked in the face!!!
