This phone price range will be between $850USD and $950USD. Way too expensive for a slow phone with no xenon flash, no tv-out and only 65K of colors!!!

the best phone i've seen so far in the year.
i reckon that X1 is way way better than N95/N95 8gb. why? because this phone is a WM phone that has tft touch screen and the design looks amazing. so if u planning to buy this phone, you've have made the right choice becuase this phone is the best phone that was ever made from SE.
question... how much would it cost??
im guessing about $1500+

This phone is an all around beast, its pretty much the VERY top of the line to todays standards except for the 3.2MP camera, which isnt really a big deal when looking at the other beastly features of this device. We'll just have to see the upcoming specs of the P5 to see if it surpasses the features of this.

Information of resolution.
1. QVGA (76800pxl) on 2.4" screen = 76800 : 2.4" = 32000 pxl per inches ( Nokia N82 ect)
2. QVGA on 2.8" screen = 27428 pxl per inches (Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N96 ect)
3. QVGA ( 800 x 352) on 4” screen = 70400 pxl per inches (nokia E 90)
4. WVGA ( 800 x 480 ) on 3” screen = 128000 pxl per inches ( only XPERIA X1)
In other word, XPERIA X1 is THE HIGHEST resolution than the others.
Developers of phone add VGA video device in their product in order to you can watch video with DVD quality not just on TV but everywhere and everytime on phone. If you push your self to watch a movie by video phone device on TV because limitation of resolution phone screen so I prefer to choice watch a film by DVD video player on TV and if I use the phone VGA video device to watch a movie on TV screen so there are many broken pixels on the TV screen and image quality is very bad. (streetch mode) Imagine!! VGA resolution on TV at 14” or 21” screen is too bad!!.Remember that size of screen factor can influence resolution quality on the screen.
Information about color. if we are talking about depth or sharpness of color so it is not talking about how many color on the phone screen can produce (16M, 256 or 65K ect) but we are talking about intensity level of color which has relation with resolution screen and energy supply component. For 16M color, you must know, that amount is very big, each color on it has smooth difference so your eyes can’t reach and see them surely. Amount of color is just talk about variation of color and not at all of the color can be used fully because not at all of object what we see on the screen need or has color as much as 16M color variation. So, there is wasted color. In other word, if someone tell u about how bright, deep and sharp the color of object on the screen so it’s resolution screen strength and not amount of color.
X1 is in progressing..

Bw@e and Costello, the TV out of the N82 is at VGA. It also has UPnP also at VGA. Is it because SE X1 does not have these features that you are too stingy to give Nokia the credit? On videos recorded with the device the TV out feature gives great results. Try it and see for yourselves.
Oh yes, Bw@e there are many who are familiar with WM and cannot stand the OS. Just read the comments on GSM Arena's video about the SE X1. Remember that variety is the spice of life. One will always see differences in opinion and preference. So you ramming your opinions down people's throats will not change people's desires.

@Rodrigo Tubarão
The card slot is compatible up to 32 GB, altough, there's no card with that capacity YET.
Compare it with nokia N96 with 16GB internal + card slot up to 8 GB... means the total capacity is 24GB

TdXS, for your information R1AN is right. One does attain pleasing results through the TV out and it is at VGA res. If you had a N82 you would know that; but alas you have neither a N82 nor a SE X1. All you have is biased preconceptions. As I have stated before video on the N82 is a good standard. Nokia could EASILY implement a bigger res screen but the cost of the device would sharply increase. Furthermore, it is not a business phone so viewing of charts, tables and graphs will be minimal. Since SE X1 is a business phone, viewing of charts, tables and graphs becomes more important. That is the advantage of WVGA displays. Little advantage is found in watching videos because QVGA gives satisfactory results. So people like Indra who go on and on about how videos will look so much better are obviously misguided and are buying the device for the wrong reasons. I cannot emphasize enough the need for graphic acceleration; the video drivers for the processor have to be enabled otherwise you will get sluggish performance. We are not even sure whether the HTC made SE X1 will do this. Afterall, HTC cynically ignored hundreds of complaints about the lack of video drivers for TyTN II which has left a bitter taste in many owners of the device. A WVGA screen will hinder rather than help a device that lacks video drivers. So it is foolish to be bamboozled by high specs without testing the device. Today's users are demanding and they hate slowdown. The SE X1 will have to be able to open apps quickly and to run graphics smoothly coupled to reasonable battery life. SE worshippers should take a deep breath and ask themselves whether they honestly think this will be a fast device. If they are sincere the answer will be a resounding NO!!
I hope that HTC/SE will suprise me. I am willing to chance it as a business phone as long as it is not tortoise paced! Yet my main phone ie my social/lifestyle device will be the N82 which has been tried and tested and proven itself to be the quintessential allrounder!!!

To get true VGA output with n82 you would need a graphics card!

On tv-out with phones with QVGA res it doesn't matter how high the quality of your video is,it will always look blocky when you play it through your N95,n82 on a TV.VGA quality my ass,it's nokia duping people yet again..upscaled qvga made out by nokia to be VGA tut tut

@TdXS
N82 has a QVGA screen but it outputs video and pictures at VGA resolution through its TV-out feature. This gives a very good quality viewing experience when you see videos in a TV through the N82.

HTC will announce some GREAT WM devices on the 6th of May.Handsets like the xda Diamond.Very feature rich,HSDPA at 7.2MBPS,proper High resolution screens,superb touchflo technology etc.According to msmobiles the handsets are going to be much smaller than PPC\'s of yesteryear.WM is on coarse to attract a new market.

Indra, your maths is seriously suspect! Look if you want to compare the N82's 2.4 inch screen with the SE X1 it is in terms of pixels per square inch. In other words it involves ascertaining the screen cross sectional area for each device. This can be done using Pythagarus' theory (although he himself plaguerised it from the Africans)! The result is that SE X1 screen shows only 3.54 times the detail in terms of pixels per square inch. So your statements have been inaccurate to say the least! The extra detail shown by the SE X1 will come at a cost which includes poorer battery performance, slower and laggy videos and speed of operation and higher cost. Nokia were wise to stick to QVGA res for the 2.4 inch screen because it produces satisfactory results. The VGA camcording when viewed on the QVGA screen looks OK. It is an enjoyable experience with NO LAG. The SE X1 screen looks better on paper but empirically one will attain laggy performance that will irritate rather than excite. Unless a miracle happens and HTC/SE enable the video drivers and they place a more powerful battery to handle the highly clocked processor, this will remain a dreamers phone. Great while dreaming but on waking and actually using it, a disappointment.
