@Allan
16M Display doesnt make it a Good Phone
does it ? NO!
This X1 has soo much better things over N95
there more important then a 16M Display
LOL
anyway GSMarena hasnt even written half the features of X1 on its specifications list and if you look on Nokia N82 the list of Useless features 'T9, Notebook' etc..
this website is Biast.

SE X1 aficionados keep going on about its VGA screen and how it will show VGA recorded videos at VGA res because it has a WVGA screen.
May I point out that neither HTC-the makers of the phone-nor SE have ever produced a phone with camcording at VGA,30fps. Companies such as Nokia did all the hard work in proving to the public that one did not have to watch substandard QCIF video on a phone. They gave people the chance to watch VGA,30fps video on their phones. Although the screens were only at QVGA res the results from phones such as the N93 and N95 were better than any other, and gave satisfactory results. It is an insult for touts on this thread to deride Nokia when they were prevalent in the struggle to bring VGA video to the masses. SE is an unknown quantity when it comes to camcording. For years they churned out substandard camcording in their top phones. It was infuriating. Now they have suddenly decided to be reasonable. Let us see whether they will enable the video drivers to facilitate smooth viewing.
Neither HTC nor SE have produced a 3 inch WVGA screen for a phone before. So yet again we are in unknown territory. Nobody is sure whether they can make this device run fast, reliably and smoothly. We can only hope that they thoroughly test this phone before launching. I am wishing that the SE X1 becomes the great performer that it is sporting to be for it will truly raise standards in multifunctional phones to a new and better level.

The more pixels the better.A k850 and n95 will show any image at QVGA resolution. The screen on the X1 will be amazing and a major reason to upgrade.Windows Mobie needs a fast CPU,128MB RAM 256 ROM to operate as intended, don't judge WM until you have used it on a capable device.

It's a nice phone. Everything is great except for the clunky, crappy Windows operating system. Why windows????

Guess you are right about the qvga thing. I googled it. The specs don't say qvga they just say 240 x 320. You have to go to google to find out what 240x320 means.

Sounds like this phone will be over 1000 dollars from what i have read here. If you think it's worth it then buy it! Prices always drop though!

The k850 has 256k colours and the pictures on it are no better than the n95. The experia has 65k colours although the pixels are higher. It's better if someone see's them both, the n95 and the experia both operating side by side, wouldn't you agree!

Calm down.Unless you have a problem reading you can clearly see from the spec sheets that the n82 and n95 have QVGA resolution screens.Everything viewed on a n82,n95 is in QVGA.The Xperia x1 has WVGA resolution

Why do some peeps take it so personal? At the end of the day it's just a mobile phone.Nokia had the leading phones and are still up there but they have nothing that can match the Xperia.

Cameraphone Sensors are to small to effectively handle 7mp.Each pixel needs light,it's hard to produce quality photographs in average lighting conditions. Why do you think some lower pixel cameraphones take better night shots than 5mp cameraphones?think about it buddy

lol! 7MP? Thats not true. Ive heard of 6MP AND 8MP NOT 7MP. Im why would SE put a 7mp camera in this anyway? Its not a Cyber-Shot. Guess ive got a bad clone tryna impersonate.

Tsepz the screen has high resolution so that it can show VGA video recording in VGA resolution. The screen can show video, graphs, charts, images, webpages to a far higher degree than most devices on today's market. All future top class devices will sport VGA or WVGA res. What use is vga video's etc if your phone dosen't have the display to show it?get with the times dude

Unfortunately SE is experiencing problems with the 'panels' firmware on this device. Why on Earth will someone have such a high res if the screen is only 3in across ? ? ? The screen will be so slow and heavy on batt power :-( And why only a 3MP cam if the competition is moving to 7 ? ? ?

Yep the prototypes are a bit slow when switching between landscape and portrait but SE will improve it since its going to have hardware graphics acceleration.

..........
VERY funny when some expect the price to be lower than 1000$,well too bad and guess what?it will be about 1400$,1200$ to be on the clear.
Instead of saying crapy things of this phone i think those who dont have enough money to buy MUST SHUT THE H E L L up and look for crapy cheap things for thier level of living.
Finally, those who talk about how fast it is.DONT even dare to make such comment JUST untill you use this phone on its final stage(when it hits market)then as a person who used and tested you can talk.

Why do you guys keep mentioning n82 and n95?N82,N95 have no qwerty keyboard, have no touchscreen, have limited operating system, have questionable build quality, have sub standard GPS chips and the daddy of them all-N95 and N82 have QVGA screens!!!EVERYTHING YOU VIEW ON A N82 or N95 IS IN QVGA RESOLUTION-no point watching quality videos in that res,or looking at images etc Xperia x1 has 5times the resolution of a n95 or n82 so you can enjoy clear/detailed video\'s,images etc on your phone.
