i am a big nokia fan that i have never owned a phone other than nokia but now that's gonna change. This babe is just fantastic. Even better than htc due to DVD quality video so we're sure the drivers problem in htc phones won't be repeated again. eagerly waitin for the x1 to come out, DON'T BE LATE SE

65k or 256k or 16m color screen does it matter? and a 65k is still good and its not like you can tell the difference between the screen colors, plus 65k screen uses less energy so u get better battery life, i rather have a 65k color screen and watch a full movie than have a 16m color screen and have the battery run out half way through. plus the WVGA screen makes up for it so it works out

Guys stop comparing N96 or similar with the XPERIA X1.It's like comparing rotten apples with juicy ripe oranges.WM6 is a World away from the horrid dusky OS that was known as WM2003.Every new release of WM see's some small, yet dynamic improvements. The quality of software that a developer can produce for WM is really quite impressive,a symbian developer can not replicate,at best the symban app would be 60percent of the WM program.Power users demand/need software that's close to desktop class.Symbian has it's place but it's place is NOT on devices like the X1

Jono,
...every SE phone user finds it weird that X-X1 supports micro SD (TransFlash) only
and none for Sony's own M2.
and also X-X1's departure from is own regular Fast Port to 3.5mm audio jack.
of course, 3.5mm audio jack is good
but it should have been an addition to the regular SE phones features...
hopefully the final version of X-X1 will integrate these regular features
so that SE accessories previously bought and used with older SE models
can be used with this X-X1.
looks like X-X1 is not a real SE phone...
i have k850i for my Rogers
and w910i for my roaming...

I want to know how long the battery life on this phone will be. i've been searching and searching, still i havent gotten an answer from anyone. i want to be sure that this is the phone i want. there isnt a point to keep a phone that last only less than 4hrs, since im on the phone constantly. SE is good with there battery life. I hope they make this one last. anyone please respond and give me some feed back. if this fone is worth it.

I do agree, this is basically the HTC tytn II in a slimmer sexier package, that's not to say I would look at the tytn II as an alternative to this phone though...

nice phone, but there is already tytnii, and by the way its obvious that a little bit of the front disign is stolen from nokia prism... and no discusion about that...

does anyone else think this device would have been more enticing if SE had used a Symbian OS? or is anyone else excited by the appearence of Windows on an SE phone? just out of curiosity if all the harware speqs were the same and the new 'panels' were still implemented, which would anyone else prefer, windows or symbian?

Damn. Touchscreen and only 65k colors. That really sucks. I wonder how much will the battery be able to sustain the O.S.
