This is an excellent phone. People should stop comparing it to the Nokia Nseries and the iPhone. The Xperia beats them handsdown.
IT is a very well-balanced handset and will features a new interface slightly altered by SE-Windows Mobile 6.5!
The Nseries all have a QVGA display, no touchscreen, and are all plastic and flimsy compared to the Xperia's stainless steal design. There hasn't been one Nokia Nseries with a slide-out QWERTY keypad either.
The iPhone has a terrible 2MP camera that lacks video recording. The iPhone is also very plastic and flimsy, and the speaker is very weak when you are listening to music. I've also heard on Intomobile, that the iPhone is starting to have a defect. The screen begins to bubble after a long period of usage, and harmful chemicals are released. The iPhone also has a very high SAR rating, which is the radiation levels produced by a handset. The iPhone also lacks 3G, efficient Wi-fi, and does not have a built in QWERTY keyboard, which is much better than the one you find on a touchscreen.
The Xperia has better battery life than the Nokia Nseries and the iPhone.
Furthermore, compared to other phones, SE is known for its excellent music quality. This phone is the first SE phone with a built-in 3.5 MM headphone jack. The Xperia also has a much better interface than the iPhone, and will have much better music quality. (If you don't agree, check Mobile-review.com for the audio quality tests!)
The Xperia also has a stronger processor than all of the Nseries phones and the iPhone.
Overall, this phone is the best, and SE did a great job! Otherwise, so many Nokia and Apple fans would not be posting such negative comments. The Xperia will definitely be a competitive handset with a lot of potential.

Is'nt this phone too much. K850i is even too much for me. I'm happy with my M600i, I even pleased with T610. This is too much. (In that case, Nokia N96 is waaayyy too much)

razec is exactly right. there is always more that some people will want. this is the best total phone out here. and Alborz, i was being facetious, the camera is fine.

i alrdy c it in youtube, the display r soooo borinnnggggg!! (seriously!) if u're not blivin me, go and check it by yourself. Juz flip flip flip flip n flip..bored! i think iphone are much better than this even im not using it. XD

reading those post like "SE needs 5mp and 16Gb to beat nokia" makes me really laugh. there are certain things that matter more than those gimmicks. 5mp in a camphone sucks compared to a conventional digital camera, same goes for a 16Gb wherein X1 with the help of the very fast processor supports even up to 32Gb of SD cards! i can't see any point with those things nokia fanboys are yearning, or i should say complaining not for a cause. X1 beats N96's performance hands down, X1 beats N96's display res. wise, X1 beats N96 network wise(HSUPA/HSDPA Quadband!) and X1 will even dare to beat N96's standby battery life! it's because X1 has a more decent 1500Mah batter compared to the mediocre 950mah in nokia.

This is excellent. I am a Nokia fan. I was about to go for the HTC Tytn II but Xperia X1 beats all the phones in the market.
Nokia... it is time for you to make a product that has same or better specs. Nowadays, a fone has to have quadband GSM, quadband umts/hsdpa, a-gps, wifi... etc. When are you going to make a Nokia fone that has UMTS/HSDPA that works around the world???
This is like when the first Triband GSM phone came out... waiting... waiting... waiting... waiting for what? OMG. Such turtles.

Thats right! XPERIA has better screen (DVD quality) although it aint got 16milion colors...

lol @ the nokia numpties.What do you use your 5MP camera for??I\'m sure your busy printing massive photo\'s-NOT more like uploading a small file to myspace or sending a mms.It appears you nokia bums are having difficulty understanding the importance of screen resoluton maybe you boot your pc in safe mode and don\'t notice any differences pmpl

Sincerely,it seems to have 262k colors effect against what it realy is,who saw it on live or the live images can see this,so now I can say this my favorite phone,second,Samsung G810 and third,Nokia N96,if I could buy that I would!!!

Yep N95 with that QVGA screen means you have everything viewed in low res.Video's,websites,photo's the lot.Theirs not any point watching High quality Video's on that pishy display like that.Screen is so important and SE have addressed this nokia n-series haven't

You are joking right?N95 is a good device but which one do you think will be better at A Web Surfing B Have better 3rd party Apps C e-mail,word,excel etc D battery life E built quality F Customization G think i'll stop befoe..!N95 has nice features and teenagers do enjoy tv-out and that accelometer LOL

I was also intending to buy the TYTN II but seems like something better is born. I keep hearing that the X1 does not have a Xenon. can explain explain what difference is that going to make to the phone? In terms of performance?

This phone should have been minimum 256K colors, have Xenon flash with 5MP, the Weight is 145g?? heavy brick build by HTC?...come on SE you can do better, a lot better than this to be number one!

Guy I've used Qtek S100 and I lots my contact twice jsut because of battery was falt and I dont know the particular reason for this.
I hope HTC/SE venture will over come this time and will make sure Microsft Windos pocket pc is more relaible now and FAST
