To bad of the design, but very good features on it. A2DP bleutooth, wifi, HSDPA... Well done SE.
Im impressed, cause normally I dont like SE that much.
How is the phone in use? Is it really as good as the features tell me?

For thoes bashing the iPhone over this Xperta X1... Just remember this is apples first time at making a mobile, and what a mobile it is...sony ericsson has been making mobiles for years and finally its came up with something to be better as good as the iphone...but has no where as near memory for music, movies and video podcasts...so i believe the iphone wont be killed off by the new xperta or whatever it is called which sony ericsson has just released... also by the time the XPERTA comes out to the market the Next Generation iPhone would of been announced which most likely will have the new 32GB Flash Drive built in with a new Higher resolution camera.....be honest apple is going to eventually become the best mobile company in the world...it will dominate as it did with the invention of the iPod..... Just you wait!.

Two biggest hit of year 2008 will be "SONYERICSSON XPERIA X1" and "Nokia N96" (but weak battery) i'm really happy to see SE back in action just love both of this phone.

Why is it 65K colors?
It is Windows Mobile 6.5! Why do you care about the colors if the resolution is more important. The screen has a VGA resolution!
When will it be released?
Late September-early October

600-700 Euro according to Mobile Review.

For those people complaining about the phonebook capacity, GSMarena recently posted a comment on the forum, saying that the specifications of this phone may not be 100% correct!

Noone needs 5 MP cameras on a phone. Your phone is not a digital camera! 3.2 MP is sufficient, as long as the picture quality is good. It is not as much about the MP as much as the quality.
Windows Mobile 6.5 will be much more stable than Symbian. Nokia fans are just jealous that this phone will be better than all of their Nokias when it comes out. Nokias don't have a VGA resolution screen, a slide out keyboard or a touchscreen yet!
Nseries seriously suck. There hasn't been one Nokia Nseries phone that has a stainless-steal design. The SE Xperia has a stainless-steel top quality design!
So Nokia fans, stop trying to justify your products, when this phone is the best!

i suggest sony to put shared phonebook memory in high end phones.
