X-X1 is good, but not come up to excellent! In such a high Q product, why SE did not put up to the level of 5MP camera and why phone book and call record run by Window Mobile is limited space? SE! you have time to go:
upgrade to 5MP or 6MP or 7PM
TV out
DVB H-TV receiver

Windows 6.5 will probably be hot on this phone. With touch-screen implemented into the interface and a QWERTY keypad, this device will be excellent. It has the up-to-date features, amazing stainless-steal quality design and great functionality!

Yup it's getting a little tedious however Johnny this Info may interest you
Mobile-Review explains that SE is not allowed to show anything more than their touch task manager at the Barcelona demo stand, because Xperia is built on the new version of Windows Mobile 6.5 that will precede arrival of WM7 in 2009. It will debut in Sep/Oct and will be the most important overhaul of OS interface in its history, will contain improvements to touch navigation, feature fully reworked media/video player, will support 3D-accelerators on OS-level to combat iPhone & Symbian Co

You people need to read this forum more and stop posting questions that have been already answered hundreds of times!
What is the processor?!
520Mhz!
Why is it 65K colors?
It is Windows Mobile 6.5! Why do you care about the colors if the resolution is more important. The screen has a VGA resolution!
When will it be released?
Late September-early October
What will be its starting price?
600-700 Euro according to Mobile Review.
Instead of filling this forum with pointless questions, why don't you people read the comments of this forum where these questions have been answered many times.
Also, SE didn't reveal all of the specs.
They did not reveal the battery life, although it will probably be great like all SE phones. The will also reveal the new interface and much of the software later on!
And one more thing! Pathetic Nokia fans-this forum is not for you unless you are talking about this phone or SE!

the phone seems good
But infra red is left out.
Camera is only 3mp
Screen is 65k colour only.
And i should tell you ive had a few high end sonyericsson phones . . In all departments they seemed good but the outgoing call quality was not up to standard. .

Steve because SE X1 will be running WM 6.5 with FULL driver support. It wouldn't be possible to have a VGA screen without drivers(redraw etc)....It's obvious

I've seen solid apps run into a WM5. Most WM user were pis$ing on the iPhone spec sheet months before release. A hacked TyTN 1 slayed Apple's phone on versatility. I dont worry about the versatility of WM, just the stability. This X1 really could replace my $1500 2yo Viao laptop most of the time. Waiting on this is like torture.

In my considered opinion both HTC and SE are suspect companies. Questions have to be asked. Is SE incapable of making its own Xperia? Why did they have to enlist HTC? Note HTC have infuriated many customers by refusing to implement video drivers for 3D acceleration in the HTC TyTN II although there have been overwhelming petitions. Why are people so sure that video drivers will be implemented in the SE device? Surely HTC will not build a device that will be better than their own? Remember that the Qualcomm MSM7200 processor has not been tested running a VGA screen with active video drivers therefore conclusions that this device will be great are premature!

Applications made for symbian are like JAVA when you compare how advanced the 3rd party apps are for Win Mo.Developers produce DESKTOP class applications to run on WM6 Professional

No No No!Yes HTC have manufactuured some impressive devices. They were 1st with many high end technical features(Wi-Fi,HSDPA,GPS)but please remember some of the their PDA's are running WM with 64MB RAM ,128MB ROM coupled with inept Processors.128MB RAM ,256 ROM and a fully supported chipset is needed to run WM.SE X1 will have this.Believe me once you try WM on a capable device you will see Symbian for exactly what it is.

What's wrong with HTC? They are a nice Taiwanese manufacturer that have made good PDA phones with touchscreen for years now. It's Microsoft own OS crashing that can make HTC look bad. The only thing i would luv SE added is their good batt life, and Sony's solid audio, games, and Cybershot experience. It's a solid partnership.

I'm a proud owner of an N82. Its a keeper, but even i know of its shortcoming. N82 has digital zoom and not optical which gets fuzzy for landscape shots. Almost all point and shoot simply have limitations which cant take great pix from further away even w/ Xenon. Get those big SLR cam that the paparazzi use. Yet, I dont use the N82's cam/video recording as much as I could. I use it more for internet, music, emTube, and games if im not calling or txting... Cam becomes my 6th most used feature. Unless photography is your #1, weaker cam shouldnt be a dealbreaker with X1. Even real point n shoot cams from Canon have their weakness vs $1000 SLR. A real Xenon module will add thickness. They are usually 17mm thick. Just be happy it has dual LED that can be used as flashlight. Xenon cant be used like that.

I am a fan of the Sony products. This is a great phone or pda. Call it as you wish. The only thing I don't like at this phone is that SonyEricsson didn't produce it. This phone is made by HTC. Why???Why SonyEricsson didn't produce by their selfs....???
