For all the people who haven't done their research - WM doesn't support more than 65k!!! (although the pixel density of the screen makes up for that fact)

i'd go for n96 rather than this phone. only 65K colour tft screen? although it is bigger, but quality matters more than quantity. and don't get me started on the camera, even n73's lagging camera is better, complete with a 256K colour lcd.
so embarassing that sony equipped a very awaited device like this with very poor graphics and camera.

to hamed: do u have ne link as a proof that it records video in VGA 30 fps?
To ones complaining ab 65K only. it should have been 16M but then it would need more battery and processing power. 65K isnt that bad but u can easily see the difference when veiwing a pic with colour gradient: the higher the no. of colours the better the scene looks. more colours give finer gradient but less colours give unsightly bands ie "jerks" in gradient. i did want it to be 16M but i need to change my P990.

ok looks great XPERIA but be aware of SE. when the w880 was the top line of SE i bought it and suddenly dies ONLY 1 month of use!!! two friends had same problem with theirs SE

Lol that's an ugly phone, and SE just took 1 7900 and 1 iPhone and - voilla - their "baby" is here...
Cant they make a better design..or the calculator P1 is just too ugly to be continued...

How many times IT'S THE RESOLUTION that gives detail in the screen.The difference between 65k and 16million colors is minimal especially on a small screen.Nokia qvga 16million colors screen will look TERRIBLE in comparison.Weep Nokia Weep pmpl @ s60 symbian.Folks look at ppcwarez.org and see al the apps we will soon be using on our SONY ERICSSON XPERIAX1

i have and love my sony p1i, but the x1 is making me feel bad about my phone. i will keep my p1i for a long time, but when i can afford a x1, i AM gonna buy it. a 65k screen? this is probably a mistake. i just wish it could have symbian uiq, to give it the sony ericsson individuality!!!

hats off to SE...although i am a nokia fan and currently using e61i and my room mate is using a e90.. and i think that this x1 is a serious challenger to e90...only u need to have a good eye to operate this phone ...800*480 on a 3" ...lol and i don't think that this gonna be faster than e90 running on wm6 though it is 500 mhz...but this phone is a killer in looks and its specs...waiting for its release...think SE draws first blood in 2008.
