I've had my xperia for 4months now. To be honest it's the worst phone i've ever used. It freezes frequently, lags, has cracks on the top left hand corner of the phone, the touch screen isn't very user friendly as you have to use the pen stylus most of the time and when it freezes you have to wait at the least 1minute+ for it to unfreeze or take out the battery and restart the phone. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this phone. Its not worth it considering the price also.

The case doesnt crack. After 6 months used. As long as you careful with the phone. Btw, I have the silver colour and i got satisfied with this phone. Awsome for browsing internet and watching movies through its bigger screen. The best SE phone I ever had after K850i and W850i. Now I'm looking for X10 to replace my X1.

If you head to xda-developers forum there are alot of information of applications and useful stuffs you can add. I just get all my stuffs around the recommendation of xda and the HTC community. Since HTC platform is the same as X1 due sony ask HTC to make the X1's.

But if you are really shopping for phones now, I will suggest you to get the new snapdragon 1ghz phone that is coming out on January, or even consider the Samsung Omnia Pro B7610. Those are way better than X1 due to better processor power!!

User can have it Enable or Disable, this might be the case with you.

WinMo is a big system and like a friend said if you don't know how to work with it, any device with WinMo (or perhaps any other big OS) will cause you strange troubles.

It is not much of a difference from the latest winmo 6.1 pro i got from Sony updates. WinMO 6.1 is good enough, and dont eat as much as battery as compared to 6.5 from the way I use it. I reverted back to 6.1.

Any phone that you dont activate key locks before putting in your pocket will have all your problems that you are experiencing! Your compain is not valid at all.... I fail to see this complain to prove that the phone is not working right for you. Clearly something just to bash about this phone.

I have this phone and patch it with the latest winmo 6.1 pro latest release from Sony US. My phone had been running great. If you are not a tech savy person, any winmo phone will make you hard to use and balance.

I wouldn't recommend the X1. As a mobile computer it does ok but the screen is a bit small. As a phone, it's the worst I ever used. Volume goes off when I put it in my pocket so lots of missed calls. When an SMS comes in - phone turns on the touch screen so if its still in your pocket you dont know what its doing.
Always missing calls and making calls itself.
                                      I hate it.
