Its already 3.0".
And big or small is comparative.
I think it's all about individual choice and taste.
Also larger screen means broader phone in width and this makes it less pocketable.
So everybody should make their own choices rather than getting into generalizations.

Turns out to be INR 32,740, but this seems unlikely because pricing is mostly based on MPs of camera and this has 3.2, so it'll definitely be less than or probably equal to Touch Diamond2 (around 27k).

And about what your requirement is have you considered Xperia X2 (Sony Ericsson though..) with WinMo.

But I think if Toshiba launches TG01 in India it'll be amazing cause with the large 4.1" screen, the on screen QWERTY keyboard wont be bad and with 1GHz processor and 256 MB RAM, the panning and navigating can be smooth on the touch screen itself.
What do you think?

if you like googles android then go for motorola droid. i dont like android phones at this time. because google have to do lots of corection in his oprating system.. googls application is at this time but i m sure they will try to get monthly or yearly sbscription from evry users latter. sooo u have to think .. one thing more in android u cant costomise ui or little bit . and there is a small no of appliction availability..

Seems like my other comment is not getting through...
But anyways, I appreciate your interest in answering my query, but I donot like the phones you mentioned. I donot like their BlackBerry like styling and the fact that they donot have a touch screen.
And they cant be compared to X1 in terms of screen quality and looks.
Phones close to X1 are : HTC Pro and HD(both are around 34k), also Diamond 1(around 19k) and 2(around 27k).
There is also Toshiba TG01 that I like a lot but am unable to find in India. Also it is also very close to X1 in pricing.
But if X1 is that bad the phone I will probably go with will be HTC Magic with Android OS(price around 24k).
So please keep us posted with what response you get from Sony Ericsson about your cracked X1.
I really like this phone and will be my first choice.

i am living in india. in indian curency i have bought this one in Rs. 24996. almost $500. my model was silver.i have bought on dec 15th. in patna.
u asked about black xperia. one thing it is clear that it is the designing defet in my concern. so whatever be colour it should be brake or cracked in long run. iam here lefing some link that black experia is also craking. yesterday i have stated a blog where i left a messege about craking of xperia and there is lots of pic of black experia which are craked is mentioned.
my previous phone was samsung sgh i780 which was a excellent device which have all the function u want.. windows mobile os. full qwerty keyboard.full touch screen and fantastic optical mouse..track pad. runs similar to laptop trakpad.now in india it is not coming from samsung . in my personal experiance it is the altimate set.. i loves very much this one.every thing except screen i780 is better then xi.now from samsung there is b7320 which runs on winmo 6.1 and another is
b7330. i will try to get b7330 which runs on winmo6.5 full qwerty keboard.i m not sure about its optical mouse.
