Hey guys.. I was just wondering, is the touch screen good? I mean can u just work with it in your fingers? or is it as stupid as the P990? I would like to know the pitch level of the sound cominn from the loudspeaker.. How high is it? same as the G900? I would also like to know if the phone has a good handset. Please reply asap to me.

Critian, 02 Sep 2009Only 65k colors? Come on !Sorry man, but you can't put more colours on a Windows Mobile phone, you can check this if you don't believe me, eg the Satio has 16 Million colours. By the way, 65.000 colours is enough, you can't see the difference on a 256.000, or a 65.000 colours screen phone. See the X2 device, that is awesome! :)

Since I can detect some lack of knowledge amongst the X1 users, I'll share how I got my X1 to be the #1 ranked phone on GSM Arena:
1. MUST visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=470
Read and learn how to tweak and flash ROM onto your phone, everything can be found here (not for lazy people unfortunately)
2. Install one of the latest developed ROMs from the above mentioned website.
3. Visit http://forum.ppcwarez.org/
Many many applications and games for you to try out, making your X1 so much more than just a phone!
Therefore, as I stated before, this phone ain't for the newbies and lazy people. But if you followed these 3 steps, I'm certain you will be loving that X1 like most of the owners here.

i currently have a Xperia and one day it just shut off and wouldnt turn back on when i too it to get repaired the shop said that the mother bord or circut board needs to be fixed is this a common problem with the X1?

My first post just below sounded like i know it all when i read it back..This is far from the truth i am still amateur its just sometimes if you get mags every month and join forums and search you can get so much more from your mobile bit by bit month by month..I understand how so many fones are boring so spend your cash on what you want not whats top of the range and what everyone else is buying,,its your money afterall and as for design i quite like the aino..S/E is also supposed to be bringing out a w900i style device in 2009 now that was a good fone..

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2009can somebody please tell me... is the sound quality on head... moreWhen i had xperia there was no equalisers in media centre os s/e own player so downloaded a third party solution,,in fact a few..kimona player ,,core player,,ibe player and found sound to be excellent,,,its also very good in htc touch pro..If you read gsm arenas review it about the best player on the forum for audio scores..
To emphasise this is using your own cans not the ones supplied with xperia x1..

Its a really bad ... moreIt was highly anticipated and very high scoring before its release..If you stay with windows it gets deeper the more you learn,,i think some people assume you can just learn it overnight but you cant..So how do people do it?? Well they start off by searching and learning,,most peole will use google and search for stuff,,we all had to do it in the beggining no one is going to do it for you..I had the original spv on orange back in 2002 and still finding out new tricks and tips..
What i mean is some people just dont or ever use the windows o/s or other o/s to their full ability..These devices can do so much but most people just txt,speak and play music or take a foto and become bored in which most will not get any more out of a smartfone than a normal device..I am using touch pro as xperia had hard to see keypad,,small viewing area in landscape mode web browsing etc but its up to you to learn bit by bit or sit down and find out what you want your mobile to do then choose..YES these fones are a bit complex but persevere and you should be able to get it to what you want to do..

What is it that makes the XPERIA X1 always the top of the rankings list? There' been lots of new phones brought out since but its still #1. What makes it better than the new iPhone, HTC Hero, LG's......personnal I think that the new SE Satio is the one to wait for, what do you think......

A lot of people are concerned about X1's high rating. As a owner of this device, I can say honestly that:
1. Non-XDA fans or typical users, this phone definitely sucks, too complex, too slow.
2. One of the BEST phones once tweaked via XDA mods. I'm judging from the phone's overall performance, appearance and material once it is modded.

Really unstable- would have been much better if they had used andriod.
