Phoenix, 22 May 2010yeah i know what are you talking about, but as you said it'... moreAlthough the X10 is expensive and large, the Vivaz is neither. The Vivaz is also awesome looking with HD video recording and the camera lens in the middle avoiding fingers getting in the way. Also weighs in at only 97 grams!! It runs Symbian which is very simple. No phone is pefect and it has low ring/speaker volume. Its compact size is very pocket friendly and more suitable for me. (I don't need the GPS)

ok, so currently I have Xperia X10 and iPhone 3GS (iPhone haters stay away from this comment)...
and I needed today to take a picture of IMEI number engraved on my mobile broadband dongle, and guess what...
Xperia couldn't manage to do this! :))
well, kind of... I was totally pis*** off when only after 5-10 minutes after trying all modes (macro etc.) light on and of, I finally managed to take an average picture holding xperia in about 45 degrees angle to the surface. And still that engraved IMEI number on the picture is a bit blurry.
Yes but my iphone took very decent picture in 2 seconds!:)) No light, nothing, simply tap to focus on that engraved number (iPhone also makes the picture brighter in dar places automatically) and tap to capture a picture, that's it!:)
What I want to say, 3Mpixels on iPhone and 8Mpixels on Xperia that you can't use! ok, not always, but sometimes, and this is not good...:))
of course this is not a problemem with pixels, it's SE Xperia software still needs some/a lot of improvement:)

Phoenix, 22 May 2010OMG!! it's way beyond coincidence! i was thinking about you... moreToday, I was holding a X10 in my hand at a shop and I really wanted to buy it. Its just awesome looking and the non slip back on it is great. Alas, I have a house mortgage and can't afford it now. For a large expensive phone, I just feel it should have more specs and some things are really missing.
It was fun reading the recent war of words here.

it is reaaly a good device and surely it is the bet winmo phone until now
it has really good design quality but it is a bit heavy
its is really fast like my uncles X10
screen is really sensitive thanks to capacitive screen
SENSE UI is really attractive
multi touch is really good
but it have some bugs like all winmo phones
and display can not show colors good
camera is not good even in 5MP range
video is not good too
so i suggest you to go for x10 because of Android OS&display quality&camera quality&video quality
hd2 has a bit more ram&multi touch over x10 but x10 has many many things overe hd2
if you want a winmo phone i suggest you to wait for winmo 7

Is it true that X10 is not yet MMS enabled handset or only in Saudi Arabia. All SIM card here is also capabe to use internet but it does not work with X10. This is really frustrating! Or is this depends on a network or is it because the Android OS is not yet supported by Mobily or STC networks here in Saudi Arabia. Any help from those living in the middle east is appreciated.

i just got the phone 3 days ago and i am pretty satisfied with it good design, light weight has a built in screen protector and a spare screen protector on the box plus a leather pouch.
-browsing the internet is fast the camera is good 8mp and a lot of android applications that can be downloaded fee
-document viewer is good with a large screen(using it for my game walkthrough, resume etc.)
-what i don't like with the phone is the internal keyboard sometimes you accidentally type the wrong letter if your are typing fast (problem with people with big fingers) can someone recommend if their is another application that changes the internal keyboard skin?
-also i noticed on some review that they cannot set the keyboard to landscape when typing a text message( only email), i was able to type on landscape with my x10(text message)
-also can anyone tell me how to save my contacts on my sim card? thank you

It's very nice to hear owners tha... moreActually,the device works very well with minimum fault (which phone does not) and because of this,Sony knows their product very well too.That was the reason I think they delayed the firmwares for some region and 2.1 updates.
1.6 already performs very well fast and efficient.With the coming updates in the near future,X10 will be a BLAST!!!
I have no regrets NONE! buying this phone.With the 4 inch screen,I can sit back on my bed watching you tube movies.I hardly listen to radio,video calls (not needed)so I don't complain that much.
To all who think of buying this phone,I suggest you read lots of reviews,ask friends who already owned this phone are the best solution before buying.
Some forums tend to flame and bash other brands (like here) which is a bad practice I wonder.
Lastly,I've used Startup Editor and Advance Task Killer to help prolong the battery life and can last me 1.5 to 2 days with minimum use.

Will X10 be updated to Android 2.2 after we updated it to 2.1??? I hope tech support of SE is working on it.. Because HTC android phone has it...

jefh, 22 May 2010i bought x10 one week ago it was nice handy and super ok my... morethat happen to me also.... what i did was i turn of my MMS and Data.. turned my network to GSM only...
to go to MMS & data... open Settings>>>> Wireless control>>> Mobile network.
Both MMS and Network mode can be seen at Mobile network settings..
hope that helps...
And Use Timescape when your WIFI is on...
