dont you know why? bacause the OS 1.6 is enough to this phone.. mediascape and timescape is excellent!
the design and display color is pretty nice.
very responsive and smooth..

That's the point of the Nexus One. You get all the Google goodies before everybody else.
As for SE...it's really a questionable decision to base an update in Q4 on Android 2.1 when they knew that Android 2.2 was on its way. And that decision looks even more questionable now that we know how good Android 2.2 really is.

Anonymous, 12 May 2010First of all the X10 runs on Android 1.6 which I must say w... morex10 is really late froyo on is way to be release probably next week but x10 need like 5 months to get 2.1 but don t lie. google phones will not always get the latest android because moto droid or milestone was the first with android 2.0 and did for the first time multi touch and pinch zoom. even the first to update to 2.0.1 to fix led flash camera, battery power and so on. se may release something like x12 with the latest android in q4 then get back in the android s game. but wonder if x10 will stand against others for the 5 months coming until the get 2.1 good luck.

Without Android 2.2, this phone is going to seem slow and out of date compared to the rest. SE should get its act together and make the update in Q4, Android 2.2, not 2.1.

please go to nexus one and legend and desire and milestone(all of them has android 2.1) forums and you can see that they have lots of questions about their new android phone too because android is a new OS!

there is no comparison between a symbian phone and a high end android phone
yes the screen of omnia hd is a bit sharper because of LED display but dont forget superfast cpu and ram and graphical UI of X10 and a modern OS like android and also excellent build quality with only 135gr weight

It seems that I was under the wrong impression that recording "voice memos" is an inbuilt feature. Instead, I cannot find out how to do that at all, and now I heard that you need to get an App for that. Is that true? Anyone? Really important for my job.

Real disappointment for me. Camera light instead of flash? LED instead of Xenon? Crap. Very slow OS. Too big. Cheap plastic build. Mediascape and Timescape are an interesting concept they are very slow and too many steps withing the menu. Stick the iPhone.

First of all the X10 runs on Android 1.6 which I must say well behind time. SE has publicly stated that they will upgrade this phone be it firmware & software throughout its entire life span.
This is well & good but the problem is they are always lagging behind. By the time they upgrade it to 2.1 sometime in Q4. Android 2.2 will be announced next week. By the time X10 gets a 2.2 SW, it will be sometime in 2011. In 2011 the N1 will most probably be running on 2.3. N1 being a Google phone will always get priority when it comes to the latest SW.

Saw it in a shop today, held it and used it for 5 10 mins.. to be very honest, whatever options and specifications it has. I currently own Omnia HD, I was not very impressed by the screen resolution of xperia x10 65K colors, r u serious,, u put it so much into this fone n 65K colors, although the mediascape and timescape was captivating, but the screen brightness and colors just put me off.. highly disappointed

This forum was very interesting now with this old android 1.6 people talk about how to fix this and how to fix that. are guy going to suffer like this until september and that is 5 month. can i buy such phone? someone know some good new to run x10 properly or why not get android 2.1 soon as possible because it seems to be the right think to fix everything.

I had a similar problem transfering pictures ... moreI find the item you said but just to be sure,i can listen to music i moved to my phone its just i can't find or play video's.I didnt use a usb led i put the SD card into my pc and all the music came up but the video didn't.Would this app work for that?

As far as the Android update goes, where did u get that info. The official Sony blog itself has clearly mentioned that in Q4 there will be a huge update which includes 2.1, HD video and others.

Guys can anyone tell me what is the code to get the model no? Like in nokia we press *#0000# and the model number comes on the screen so likewise what is the code for Sony ericsson.
P.S I desperately need the code
