skype calls wont work in 1.6 os
so not going to buy it until 2.1 or above is available.
anybody know to which os(2.1 or 2.2)they are upgrading it to???

hey...i bought this phone the day it released in india....this phone is awesome n i m very happy with my choice...the only thing against this phone is its small screen size but x10 mini pro is worth the cost....not to forget the touch is next to the i-phone...luv this phone...

Came to know that X8 is proving to be better than Mini Pro in terms of screen size and battery.
it has got a 1200mAh battery while mini pro has only 900mAh.
asked the Sony people whether mini pro can support any other battery, and they said no.
not sure whether mini pro will be a phone that will be having nice accessory supports for a long time.
I just loved the size and the physical qwerty along with the cam, but Sony Ericsson guys put me in a turmoil again whether to choose mini pro or X8 :-(

to buy sony Ericcson X10mini pro is a blunder. Very poor Battery back up, very complex handling and bad connectivity services. I bought it last saturday and I want to sell it rightaway....

Still trying to figure out this phone. Trying all stunts to get the battery last atleast for one whole day.
Have a new problem, NEED HELP from users.
Is the sound jarring when you play music on the speaker?
and the back cover is not a perfect fit,what so ever.

Beware of this phone otherwise you will have a problem on the following:
1. Android Market (TM) - one of the most important application to this phone BUT not installed. This is source of all other applications for you to install easily but nothing. See, even they informed the public as this app as a trademark (TM) but NOTHING!
2. Bluetooth connection failed. You will not be able to connect to other bluetooth devices unless you install the bluetooth file explorer which is not that much good because when its connected you can try to see all files of the other mobile.
3. Easily gets low batt.
This phone looks cute but the software makes it very complicated and disappointing to the users.

Oh dear. Had a look at this phone yesterday and it looked good so came home to look it up on the web before buying, and what a nightmare! Not just on this site, but EVERYWHERE there are complaints about the battery, about blue-toothing and about the camera.
That's everything I use a phone for! Some say that they use their laptops to surf the web BUT you don't carry your laptop everywhere! It seems like Sony got it wrong...again. I was an SE fan many years ago...T29/T39 were some of the best phones ever...but that's ten years ago now.
I moved to Nokia, I'm on the 5530 now and although Symbian is getting old, there are millions of Apps, Battery life is excellent, I'm ALWAYS on the net wherever I am and I cannot imagine having to think about what I'm doing with my phone before I use it! It's like rationing in war time!
So. I think I'm just gonna save my money, be patient (which is almost impossible for a phone freak to do!) and wait for the Nokia c6-01...with Symbian 3.

Good or not depends on what ur looking for in the phone.
1.Android is good, but its v1.6 (since 2.1 and 2.2(froyo) is available)
2.This thing has all you may need in a phone. But the CPU is 600 Mhz, which u ve to consider, since phones with 1Ghz are avalable now. If u put too much load, this phone tends to slow down a bit.
3.Camera isnt much good. It has 5 MP camera with flash, which can take decent pictures. Setting is very minimal.
4.Lots of apps are available.
5.Keyboard is very inpressive. comfy to use.
6.If u watch lots of videos on mobile, u may have to consider the screen size here (2.55 inches). But clarity is good. Video player is also good. Music player is also good.
7.Very compact design, one handed use is very easy.
All in all a good phone.
Only draw back being the Android version, since so many apps are designed for 2.1 or higher (ex. Flash player isnt available for 1.6, which is very much needed sometimes)

I received my x10 mini pro 4 weeks ago. I am also worried about the battery life. I only get 1 day from the battery and that is when not using it. For the rest of the phone, its awesome, with all the software you can download from “Market”. Great phone and it takes perfect pictures. I will try to find app from “Market” to prolong the battery life.

1. When in home screen, use the volume button to reduce the volume. Go on pressing and u ll get vibrate only mode, then silent mode.
2. U cant set fast dialling, but there is another feature u can use. Go to contacts and select the favourites tab. Select the add button and select the contacts u want.

thinking to buy xperia x10mini pro the problem is i want skype or anyother application like fring etc that may support voice chatting....today skype announce their application but minmum requirement is 2.1 OS while this phone only has 1.6 OS ??so do u people use skype can we have skype in 1.6 OS ??or is there any option i can upgrade my OS 2.1 ??plz help hurry coz iam thinking to buy this phone

To all new buyers..Just be aware that this phone is amazingly compact with alot to offer!I love it! ;)& for those who doesnt know how to use android..geesh! dont buy one or have the willingness to LEARN & stop complaining..its easy Browse & READ & download..you can download a lot of stuff that can make your everyday lifestyle hassle free!

To those asking about not receiving bluetooth files from other phones..pls download bluetooth file transfer from your droid,after which just check on files that you wanna get from other phone files.very easy to use,also has diff storage.Hope this would help.
