Sorry to say that my X2 complete dead yesterday. before it happen the phone hang in black screen need soft reset or some time need battery remove. Than last day before it dead, it hang it self and the phone body is hot. now it in workshop, they say my phone main board problem need a replacement and need to wait for stock (may be week or more.) the phone hang only happen after i upgrade to May ROM. Hope you guys precaution on this incomplete May ROM.(or maybe i'm the only "LUCKY" guy to have this problem phone.)

Hey ed,
You can download some good games and panels for free from playnow arena, just log in internet explorer than choose the se sign and you will be directed to playnow arena.
Regrading the backlight yes it also happens to me sometimes, and the phone sets it to defualt which is 30 sec.
Anyway enjoy the true pleasure that you only get with SE ;)

you're right about the disappearance of the handwriting programs. i haven't complained though, b'cos i wasn't really using them.
If we draw se's attention to it, they might release a cab for them on PlayNow arena as they did for the cnn panel. :)

[deleted post]I'd suggest vivaz pro if you're not into customization that much and if you're contented with not so powerful apps. Faster than X2, scratch resistant screen, HD video recording, and volume is louder.
X2 if you want huge choice of windows apps that are free. Sexier that vivaz pro, has windows OS, and has front camera.
I didn't compare the megapixel of the camera as I don't believe the higher the megapix the better. Don't base your decision on the camera.

Hi.. Would any of you happen to know whether I can setup various chat clients like gtalk and yahoo messenger on this phone? The Sony website lists Facebook etc. which isn't something I use often. Therefore I'd be glad if someone could give me accurate information about this.

It depends on what you need/want. oh and xperia x10 pro doesnt exist. you probably was thinking of xperia x10 mini pro. I still miss my x1. but im fine with x2 (mr2, pure, without panel manager, and without slidewiew - great performance).

I would recommend the X2 over the n97 mini anyday, anytime, and anywhere!
The gap between both is huge, the n97 is a way simpler device than the X2. The X2 was built by se not by htc like the case in the x1. Therefore, the phone will not crack unless you make it crack! Also, there is no issues at all regarding the keyboard and it is working very well for me along with others.

If your unhappy that samsung didn't update your device beyond 6.1 which we had 2 years ago in our x1, sorry but it's not our problem. Most of us are happy with X2 now :)
So stop spreading lies and misleading people, it's a bad habit. Because it's so obvious that you are the same person. And it was your choice to choose samsung so no need to be jealous from x2 users now.

and glad to share my experiance with u.
According to me Hardware side of X2 is some what ok the disappointing thing is The Windows OS. I am sorry to say how waste it perfoms.
I have already upgraded to new MR.
Your Qs.

I surprised what Windows mobile 6.5.2 realy is!!
its just like the big blunder WindowsME.
I am really sorry but the review of the gsmarena was far apart from the My X2.

I had the X2 when it was launched back in Jan2010. However, i gave this up within weeks as it had some real issues on performance. For those of you who've just installed the MR2 or probably bought a new batch, can u adv if the following issues have been resolved:
> Memory card detection - had issues trying to detect
> Theme Panels were very unstable
> no proper RSS/Web Feed client - had to rely on one particular theme panel
> Performance issues due to slow processor - had to restart phone at least once a day
> Camera indicate 8.1mp but pictures looked like they were taken from 3.2mp. Very poor quality. night shots were a nightmare
> plastic cover near the send key was peeling off just after days of using it. Has this been solved? i had the black version!
> FM Radio was not present then
> Sound output was very low - hardly could hear the ringtone and music playback
> dial keypad tend to lag when dialing or sending dtmf tones during a call

sorry guys, don't take it as i'm bashing X2 but i was pretty dissapointed on the product then especially when i had invested about S$1K on this and had to lose some amount when selling it off due to the shortcomings. Hopefully, the new batch or MR2 has solved all if not some of them. Waiting eagerly for your feedback. I'm keen to get back the X2 if this its better now! Thks.

My cousin just bought a samsung omnia 2 and guess what!! You won't believe it, it still has windows mobile 6.1 lool.
Which was in the x1 in 2008!! God can you believe those guys?
While we enjoy wm 6.5.3, they still release 6.1 which we had 2 years ago. And yet they claim that SE handsets are outdated!
Thank god I'm a proud se customer :D
