SE 2010, 07 Jun 2010Thank you man, believe me we appreciate your concern :) ... moreI love the hardware and the huge amount of free aps because of windows. BUT, I hate the low low low volume, and sometimes the lag.

I was browsing at the vivaz pro earlier. Scratch resistant screen, good speaker/volume according to gsmarena review, responsive (since it's symbian). The only thing that is keeping me from getting it is the GPS app. Currently for X2, I'm using navicomputer which is a great GPS app that has the ability to load maps from memory stick so you don't need data connection to use GPS.

terrance, 07 Jun 2010may i know which window is xperia 2 running? XP or window 7 ?Hi, did u mean to ask which Operating System runs on xperia X2? If so, then the answer is right here on the Specifications page. If u check the Features - OS section, u will see that it is "Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5/6.5.2 Pro...and if i'm not mistaken, it's upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.5.3 when u install MR2. :)

We didn't get this kind of reaction when people owning other phones had cracks. I had a friend who had the W830 slider phone and got cracks on the d-pad but nobody cared.

I just wanted to inform everyone as early as now so that they can get their warranties. There'll definitely be some rotten apples in a basket.

Why Sony Ericsson X2 doesn’t support Arabic from Microsoft in MR2 (WM 6.5.3) as Microsoft said in its official web site?

                  http://www.microsoft.com/middleeast/Egypt/CMIC/Issue3/latestnews.aspx

MR2 “middle east” support Arabic from application (MobiDiv Arabware) not from Microsoft!

                  This application slow the device…

I would recommend the X2 over the n97 mini anyday, anytime, and anywhere!

The gap between both is huge, the n97 is a way simpler device than the X2. The X2 was built by se not by htc like the case in the x1. Therefore, the phone will not crack unless you make it crack! Also, there is no issues at all regarding the keyboard and it is working very well for me along with others.

                      Good day :)

And what I don't like is that when people be careless and then blame the company for it. I must admit SE didn't do a great job with the software, however, after the MR2 I think they did a brilliant job and now I love my phone more than ever. Regarding the hardware I believe that SE is one of the best companies that built their hardware right!
And the X2 as well has a very remarkable hardware.

This is what a mechanical engineer had to say about the matter :

If no undue stress is applied theres no reason for it to break. plastic just doesnt sit there and break all by itself lol. ive got a degree in mechanical engineering and ive dealt with plenty of stressed materials in my time.

The first time i heard of cracks on X2 was at XDA developers; The phone battery cover has 2 extended metal peace to hold in the grove of the phone to fit snug if you dont take time to put on the cover properly the 2 metal peaces are not gonna go in properly and its gonna put pressure on the thin peace of plastic rite where the volume and camera buttons are and causes it to bulge out and possibly in that unlucky persons case CRACK!!!! So to has nothing to do with the phone its US the ppl who are using the phone

I'm planning of replacing my X1 with this. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to read all the posts to find out if the X2's keyboard is any better compared to the X1. Everyone knows the X1's keyboard always had issues as I am experiencing right now. I'm also having second thoughts after reading comments about the phone's battery door causing the case to crack. Would you guys recommend the X2 over Nokia's N97 Mini?

I'm just saying no need to make a big deal of it, it's not acceptable for me to throw my phone out of the window and than report that it has cracks or issues! Everyone is responsible in taking care of his phone that's all I'm saying dude.

It would be inevitable for the X2 to have cracks..IF..frequent removing and replacing the battery cover(reasons like taking out the battery when the phone hangs or freezes and/or changing simcards). The HINGES of the batt cover seems to be the culprit. It gives tension to that thin part of the plastic that holds the hinge. I've even consider taking it out (the lower hinge) or I may get a wobbly back cover.
