The only issue i have which is really annoying me now is the slow text messaging. Does anyone know how to disable the 'my words' setting under the keyboard option? It auto adds the words that i type. That may be causing the slow registration of words when u type because it checks against the phone's database.

I've also notice that my free phone memory has gone down to 80mb from the previous 110mb.

ok basically I have 2 minor issues & I would like to know if any of you have the same problem...

after I turn the phone back on from standby, wifi enables itself automatically.

secondly, when charging on standby, the phone powers off alone without noticing, then the only option to power it back on is to remove the battery first

Last post, I had to say this =D.

To all the haters, everyone agreed that X1 was definitely one of the best when it came out (even when it was late). There are people (like me) who thought so too and almost got the X1. However, because of HTC, the hardware was really bad so these people decided to hold off.

X2 came out, agreed that it is similar to X1 but with minor improvements. That was exactly what I was looking for! Something similar to X1 but with an awesome hardware.

So far, X2 is the only phone that has a slide out keyboard and doesn't wobble when closed. I've held other brands (samsung, nokia, lg, motorola) and did the wobble test. Nothing compared to X2.

After 5 years of using the k750i, I'm glad I've gotten X2 as my 1st win mo phone.

Why win mo? lots of free aps that I can use on my day to day stuff.

Settings on your phone might be the cause too. Here's mine:

                    - no 3g, only gsm band
                    - mobile data set to NONE (instead of hsupa/hsdpa)

As I've mentioned before, prior to the update, I had the following problems:

                    - I had to remove my phone's battery whenever I open wifi connection because phone always freezes. After powering on, wifi is already enabled.
                    - I encountered program errors from time to time where it would ask me to report the problem or not.
                    - soft volume even on maximum setting
                    - there are times that the accelerometer won't work when I slide out the keyboard (I had to do a soft reset)
                    - when pressing the battery icon on spb home, it won't display the backlight and power management menu
                    - night mode on video recording was not working
                    - text alert tones are cut short from time to time, the next text alert won't sound anymore

After the update everything mentioned above were fixed. Wifi connection via connection manager is now working all the time. So far, I never took out the battery, and never performed the soft reset. I don't encounter the program errors anymore. Volume is still soft on lower settings but on maximum, I felt that it is definitely louder now.

However, there are still minor issues like the slow texting (when you type fast in the keyboard, letters don't translate easily). Sometimes, the height of the text area when you reply to a text message is short, I can only see half of what I type vertically. You have to close and click reply again to be able to display the whole text area. Finally, the defaulted MS panel when you do a soft reset.

Comparing the fixes against the new issues, my phone is way way better now. I love it!

Maybe it's something you installed after the update. Before the update, I backed up all my shortcuts for all the apps i've installed. After the update, i just re-copied all the shortcuts back to the start menu of windows. All my apps are installed in my memory stick.

Also note that my memory stick is an 8gb kingmax class 6.

Ever since the update, I've never experienced lag, or even hanging. I never had to soft reset my phone again from time to time.

What annoys me though is the text input, letters register almost 2 seconds after typing (i'm a fast typer). This may be caused by the 'my word' setting in the keyboard. There is no way to turn it off, it auto adds any words that is not recognized by the phone (words that are shortened like hapi instead of happy).

Dude I must tell you that you are doing a great job assisting people and updating them with the latest news and god bless you :).

I still didn't update my device, but it seems that the overall performance and speed of the device has improved which is essensial. In fact, this is great! Some users also mentioned that the video bug has been fixed, the ui looks more attractive now which means we are heading in the right way.

However, a girl mentioned that they removed the G- sensor! Come on now??? This is dumb and it's not acceptable, no matter what exuse se has this time, but this was an important feature in the cellphone and they had no right to remove it. But, since I know se is crazy it's possible that they will insert it in the next update.

Sony Ericsson was said to have abandoned its Windows mobile fans for the new X10 lovers, but not just yet. Today they released a new 6.5.3 ROM that brings the phone with many new features and updates.

This MR1 firmware update adds video calling,FM Radio access and a faster, and more improved GPS system. There is not much available in the form as for a change log, but I am sure anyone would be happy flashing to the newest versions of Windows Mobile.

This update is a little late. If you remember from our earlier post mentioned this device was suppose to receive the update in march, so that makes them 2 days late. That two days is pretty good for SE, but for those that own the X2. comment below and tell us if you will flash and what is your experience with it. http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=15039
