so basically my sim card requires a pin to be accessed. when I got the phone, as soon as it powered on, it used to ask me for the pin straight away...however, after installing the latest application update, the phone boots in offline mode, & only after pressing the 'call' button I am asked to enter the pin.

        any help please?

Mobilemaster, 27 Mar 2010What happened with your previous IP? When you will buy the X10?Hey friend!

Nice to see drop by in the peaceful x2 forum lool. Well I changed my internet provider so the ip was changed automatically as well. Right now I am enjoying my wonderful X2, so I'll keep it for a while then I'll switch to the SE beast the X10! The king of the mobile industry :)

I liked gsmarena's review it was not biased like usual, but many people are saying that the sound quality is great, and it's not average like Gsmarena are mentioning.

To me the x2 is not that fast and its not that slow either its just in between. the screen if finger friendly, the phone freezes sometimes as if the phone doing something in the background but hey its a windows mobile phone so what do u expect, the internet is pretty fast, music player can use a bit more feature and louder speakers or more volume i hope they fix that in the update. The keyboard is finger friendly easy to use, Panels are also cool but i like the SPB and Face book panel those are my everyday use. I have this phone for almost 3 months now, I had my ups and downs with it but its nice, the body feels great but i don't understand why SE had to put two separate volume controls it should have been be cause when your playing music u have to turn up the volume on the music player but if the volume on the side zoom/volume key is down a bit u will have to raise that too

I got the Nokia N97 on Virgin mobile contract and it's probably one of the worst phones I've ever had.Don't get me wrong I love the build quality and everything else about the phone - really easy email setup, great screen, great camera etc - everything except making and receiving calls, the call quality is shockingly bad,I believe I could get better reception with paper cups and string, it really is that bad. This is a shame as I really wanted to like this phone but the reality is that it was just unusable. I was still within my initial 28 days so Virgin mobile changed it no problem,I went for the xperia x2 and am now a happy man.

I think what he meant by hacking is that to insert cooked roms in the device instead of the original. But in order to do that you need to hack the device first and then insert the cooked rom. Basically, the cook roms will make your device much faster with no lagging, however, I do not recommend you do this step if you are a beginner because this may result in damaging your device and also ending your warranty.

So for all you beginners just stick with the SE updates, because they are much safer and they are reliable since they are from the original company.
