If you like the touch screen and a mobile for games and apps you should take the iphone.
On the other hand, if you want a good camera phone with a keyboard, good battery life, and a business phone that has a lot to offer of course the X2 is better.
So you choose what you want my friend. For me the X2 is much much much better than the iphone, but that's me and this is my opinion. So good luck.

I have the HD2 right now and yes it is a good phone but I don't like it and it will be on eBay before long. I will buy the X2 and if I don't like it sell it too. HD2 can be compared to iPhone and X10 but it is a different type of phone to X2.
There's at least 5 fixes needed to download for the HD2. When X2 comes out who know's maybe it will need some maybe not. Once again I am not knocking the HD2 it is a good phone but just not for me.

You can knock the HD2 (size) all you want to try and make the X2 a good phone. In the end if you think about it really, you will see the X2 is a clone of the X1 (same phone as X1 with minor updates, 8mp camera). The HD2 is by far way superior to the X2 and any WM phone on the market and the iphone.

yes x2 all the way. x2 maybe no free upgrade to winmo 7 but we are sure can find ways to get it upgrade to 7.... some say the screen is small i think its just right.. have u seen how big the HTC and other phone alike is.. its like putting a brick in your pocket.

Check out Nexus One. It beats HD2 in hardware plus it has got Android 2.0. No need to wait for anythong, its just about USD 530 unlocked.

Why WASTE your money on the X2 that will not get WM7 in 2010. If you want WM7 you will have to buy another phone from Sony in 2010 or 2011. The HD2 will get the WM7 update for free in 2010 (no need to buy another phone in 2010 or 2011 or 2012). Maybe buy new phone in 2013 when WM8 is out. See link on WM7:

Also, the video recording is much better than the X1.
Moreover, the X2 has a tv-out and also is capable to work more video files such as divx videos.
Finally, the sound of the X1 was really weak, however, since the X2 has stereo speakers the sound will be amazing.
Therefore, if you can afford the X2 you should go with it for sure.

While the processor on both devices are same, firmware on X2 is promissed to be more configure to deliver better speed using WinMo 6.5.
You will have better camera, and not only in term of megapixel but in quality, you will have additional sensors. Screen is I think improved in touch sensitivity and well slightly on the size too.
X2 is more compact. Keyboard is much much improved as everyone said it. Personally I like X2's design in overall but X1's back and camera placement was good.
On software side, if you know your ways around you can install/port entire X2 into X1's body but if you are afraid to do it X2 should be your pick from these two.
I might have missed couple of advantages here but I am sure others will fill the blanks.

I'm intrested to have XPERIA phone. But I'm not sure between X1 and X2. I like X1, in terms of design and construction. But how about the software of it, compare to X2? Because X1 is older than X2. Is there any significant differences? Then what about Win.Mob 6.5 and 6.1 on both of those phone cell?

I have been reading around and land to this wonderful article about Windows Mobile and Andriod. I think it is worth reading and sharing as it confirms some of my confident in X2 (or perhaps any other WinMo device) and answers several other things.

One thing I want to add here that WinMo does things more so of course it has more codes to sum up all the process hence it needed more power, more time to process to make sure user will get what they want.
You cut down the codes to maintain application, (i.e multitasking) your working resources cut down maybe 75% so you can add eye-candy to make kids happy (or call it futurestic user experience.)
I am not going against all the happy stuff but my point here is to say you can have what you want and others can have what they want. This doesn't out-dated or out-fashion other things.
Anyway I am not very good at writing so I will be taking time to write things I am trying to say and share later.

The X10 price will be more than 800$! You can Google it. I saw this with my eyes. By the way 500 Euro is not nothing.
