I still think x2 will make it to the shores in Asia by mid to end dec as planned. Usually vodafone releases are delayed due to customization of firmware. Not to worry, the best featured WM phone will be in town before Christmas. Cheers SE!

Vodafone now state on their Coming Soon Phones page that X2 due in January!
In User Guide there is no mention of front VGA Camera and yet on all the recent pics there is clearly one included.
Maybe they are reading all of our opinions and updating the phone before release LOL. I emailed SE and asked if the X2 would work on O2 in the UK. They said ask O2 but there may be some issues with some Panels.

SEX2, 04 Dec 2009Now i get why your name is jk, just kidding right? =p. D... moreyeah i agree with you. i agree with jk though about this being the best winmo phone. personally i think htc hd2's 4.3 inch screen is way to big for a phone. however hd2 has a capacitive screen and way better processor.

This is going to ... moreNot to forget the best design out there for any WinMo or even Andriod (Other than X10) with one of the superb keyboard. Panel systems and everything. With 800 processor it could be a flag ship product but it is not bad and you have a very good point, I would want to move toward a better design after a year or so so no need to look for upgrades. Besides if I want to I am sure XDA guys will come up with something to do that. ;)

The vidoes on youtube are simply awesome. This is going to be the icing on the cake for 2009. Probably the best WM phone for this year. HTC HD2 is great on paper but there's no value at all. its pure old technology and expensive. a phone is meant to be used for a while and then upgraded. No point just updating to wm7 when the hw is outdated. I'm sure those HD2 fans out there will not even think of upgrading when there are better HTC phones out there when WM7 gets released.
8MP camera with cool UI from X2 is the way to go. Satio and Aino were really successful too, keep it coming SE. Its time to shake those Nokia boys ... haha

Buy the HD2 which was made for WM7 and not WM6.5. The HD2 will get free update to WM7 when it's released in 2010. The X2 only has minor updates. I was going to buy the X2, but after looking at the specs of the X2 and looking at WM7 specs, the HD2 was the choice for me.
Buy the HD2 or save your money and wait for Capcitive device sony will have in 2010......

It probably wont be available for X2 or X1.
But by the time it(WinMo 7) comes out(3rd quarter 2010), Sony will have another Xperia out(probably X3) with capacitive screen.
And all those who have bought the X2 can buy another phone or else keep using the then outdated (which is right now the latest) OS.
Basically X2 is a device that will not be sold by Sony Ericsson for a long time like X1(which is still available and cheaply).

JK, 02 Dec 2009Just got confirmation from Sony Ericsson that X2 will be re... moreThe reason is simple. 1st, alot of plp already condem this x2 due to same hardware spec with x1. 2nd, x10 is the flagship of SE at the moment and alot of plp is crazy over it. Of course SE marketing dept will think why bother advertise so much on x2 when most feedback from us is quite bad. But there is a good thing about this, x2 may have a little chance of selling at a lower price. X10 is definately not cheap. X10 is a good phone but I personally will not choose a phone with no hardware keypad/board. As a lazy engineer that frequently go worksite for work and need to climb up and down, bring a laptop is too bulky and problematic for me. Therefore having a smartphone with keyboard and the ability to edit document report on the way is important for me. Just my little opinion... X2 best working slave for me. ha

Just got confirmation from Sony Ericsson that X2 will be releasing in Singapore in mid Dec. Wonder why they do not promote the X2 as an Xperia device on their website but instead use it more with X10??? Hmmm ... maybe not much of an experience on X2.
