some 14 year old, 07 Dec 2009just wondering what a proximity sensor is? also are there j... moreProximity sensor is to know distance between phone and an object, eg human or other surface. It is used to lock touch screens when you are in a call and you have set against your ear. I think HTC is also using it to change ringtones automatically if handset is in pocket. There are other uses as well for example auto-mute.

The review is not complete yet but will be on tracyandmatt at some point this week.

U no life is funny where i come from in the caribbean this is what we call bad mind all who talking about SE will fail thats wishful thinking and some people will get the shock of there lives and i cant wait to see the day when the shew is on the other foot. SE has some very unique phones the designs are like no other and the fear that SE will rise to the top like its doing now never mind the little fall backs that has to come be for greatness. We will see in 2010 what will come all the SE haters they eyes will drop out SE 4 life.

65k colors for 3.2 inches !!!!????
just 110 mb storage
no digital compos
very poor
and big problem : widows os
even x1 is beter choice than x2

I received the X2 yesterday to review and early impressions are that is really poo.
Hard wear does not feel great and software is laggy. Not good.

Why not have a phone that already meets the specs and not buy another phone just to get the new OS???? You're spending more money on another phone, instead of being able to just update your phone with the new OS for FREE. No need to spend another $800 to $900 on another phone. The HD2 will not be out dated anytime SOON like the X2. As soon as you buy it, it's out dated. No WM7 update, which means you will have to buy another phone in 2010 if you want WM7. I on the other hand do not have to buy another phone.......
I was all for buying the X2. But why buy an outdated phone??????

Technology is no point. Phones have to be renewed when new os comes and there is no point trying to update or ugrade to wm7. by the time winmo7 is out, this phone will be so outdated. People will be onto 8mp or 12mp by then. Keep your dinasour with you and do your downloads if you want ... haha!

It has a much lower SAR value than the HTC phones or the iphone, and it looks like a great camera and keyboard, not too big, not too small!
Can't wait to get my hands on it!

The HD2 has alot of new technology (Big screen, capacitive screen, faster speed, better UI, etc). Do I need to say more???? Face it. You're trying to talk yourself into buying an outdated X2 and trying to compare it to the HD2. There's no comparison. The HD2 is way, way, way better than the X2, no question......The HD2 will be even better when it gets the WM7 (Free) update in 2010. The HD2 was made for WM7 not WM6.5. HTC looked into the future when it made the HD2. Cannot say the same for Sony. To get WM7 you have to have capacitive sreen. Something the X2 doesn't have....

The X2 is an outdated phone that sony is releasing. They will not updated the X1 to WM6.5, because that will hurt the sale of the X2. Now that the phone is being released in 2010, it's really outdated. Other companies will be coming out with way better phones in 2010 (capcitive sreens, etc). Why waste your money on the X2? I was waiting on the X2, but I bought the HD2 and it's a great phone.
