Sony Ericsson has not listened for nearly a year of complaints about the lack of features that are either possible with updates or impossible because they did not correctly anticipate and evaluate the market with the current features that competitors offer. Plus they also continue to disappoint by not offering good support for the customers that have invested their money (and time) into their X10 product.
There is no reason why a company with the resources and experience that Sony Ericsson possesses should even offer an android phone that is not consistently being kept up-to-date.
Many customers, new and returning, continue to voice their opinions and disappointment about the Xperia X10. Still SE has NOT ONCE delivered on any major feature that should have already been available from the launch of the X10 product in a timely manner and even after a long wait for the phone; there still were no dramatic changes to the phones.
To SE 2010
The phone suffers from low volume for media or in call communication, no support of Adobe Flash, terrible battery life, and a version of their watered down Android system along with other features. This is not even including the fact that easy and common sense features in the hardware (multi-touch), 16m, music equalizer, radio, camera flash etc etc are not supported.
Poor Plastics and Chinese made Sony sucks

It will keep charging for ever, it's better to check out the battery from the SPB panel to know exactly the percentage of it. Otherwise, you can just install an application to indicate the level of the battery.
It was really a bad move by SE not fixing the battery indicator.

Hiya ;)
Just got my Xperia X2...and OMG!!! Such an awesome phone. I'm not really that tech savvy but with a little searching (XDA - such a lifesaver and some free time ie.) work :P ) has made this phone a great upgrade to my X1.
Comments:
- Very sexy looking ... like me lol jk jk ;P
- Perfect size not too bulky
- More Stable than my X1 (I was using a custom rom for the X1 maybe that was the problem!?)
- Camera is great
- Bluetooth works great
- Loving slideview!
- Installed this overclock program that makes everything very fast and silky smooth
Annoyances:
- SMS Timestamp is kinda annoying b/c it doesn't give me the right time when texts come in :'(
- LED lights don't work when the phone turns off :'(
- Haven't experienced the memory card thing that people keep talking about. (No I didn't install the sd card fix :P )
- accelerometer on Xtrakt is really neat feature
- kinda sucky that it only works on games, messaging and browsing though :'(
- can't use the front camera as a self portrait camera
(I can't help being a little vain heehee)
...mmmm oh and no landscaping only mode.
Other than that loving this phone!!! biyeeeee!!!

Actually, I believe that the wearing off only happened with some of the silver models. it didn't happen to all the people who had the X1.
However, you should ask SE 2010 about this because he is the expert here that most of us depend on.

I'm back and this time i'm in a debate between the x1 or x2. I read that many people experience their flex ribbon wearing out on the x1 and was wondering if that happens in the x2 as well. Also wondering, is it common for phones to have the ribbon wear out in time and does frequent sliding speed up the wearing?

berg, 01 Dec 2010how can i setup a wallpaper in this x2 phone?? thanks!If you're using SPB mobile shell for your homepage (panel) then just set its background.. :)
However the other panels like MS Today or Google etc you can't change the background (I think??) & so you can't have a wallpaper for this..
On the other hand, you can change the THEME of your phone instead of the wallpaper, just go to
Start->Settings->Home->Appearance
& there you go.. You can set the theme but I don't know if you can set a picture/file you choose for your theme..
What do you think SE 2010??

Remember install it in the phone memory. It should work, however, if it doesn't try to restart your device and install it again.
