this is a 270 dollars max phone it would of been great at that price but not for 450.

    why they even release the phone with barely no upgrades than the previous version (10iv)? seriously so frustrating for a sony fan like me!!

                  Micro SD card is useless with the slow USB 2.0. You'll have to take it out to transfer something fast to/from it.

                  Also USB 3.x would have the option to display out, for those times you want to watch your favorite content on TVs in hotel rooms.

                  Absolutely no reason to "upgrade" from 10 IV, which also was a downgrade from 10 III who had UB 3.0. What a dreadful path Sony chose for this line.

I don't play games on my phone or similar – only watch YouTube videos, rarely take a photo (own a Fujifilm anyway), want a compact phone (this one has excellent dimensions imo) and a headphone jack with acceptable DAC (and stereo audio, ofc). All of this is covered by this phone. The SoC also allows for excellent battery life without tampering.

                    So I dunno. Some people, like me, would rather want this than the Poco and even pay the sum. The thing that bothers me is WiFi. What you "care" about (if actually even) is something the masses would never really notice anymore. Give them an iPhone with this SoC and they will most likely not notice anything about it (exfept no 4K60FPS recording). :P

                    Of course there is no iPhone with that SoC. This was only hypothetical. Just saying, cuz I KNOW someone here won't notice it without me explaining...

                      What a horrible phone. SD 695 was awful even when it was new. Also not even 90Hz refresh rate and considering that 1 V does only 30W fast charging I expect this to be even worse. Absolutely not worth 450€ when you can get a Poco F5 for less than that

                        Wish if they used some 700 series processor and enabled 4k recording also. This wouldve been a great compact phone.

                          If only Sony could manage to cut those edge bezel for 1mm per edge, leaving the top and the bottom bezel for true stereo speaker and better selfie camera, i bought. And 90/120 hz screen option for better experience/battery life prefered.

                                A chip that internally has an FM Radio receiver and 3.5mm jack that *could* be used for the antenna, but no FM Radio capability from the phone as a whole? Even in 2023 there are plenty of places with little to no mobile signal, and many of my local stations stopped streaming.
