where can I buy a xperia 1 ii in the Philippines? Sony stores here doesn't sell anymore.

Anonymous, 12 May 2020Sadly, it Won't have the pics like the alpha. My persona... moreThe IMX689 doesn't have dram on the chip - you'll only have interpolated slowmo at 960fps.

No camera can do 8k30p only 24fps

Lastly you're giving up the device thickness, huge camera bumps for those sensor size.

Sony is actually one of the thinnest phones with a 4000mah battery.

it's taking forever to release this phone ! three months and no sign yet, what'ts wrong with you Sony ?!

Anonymous, 12 May 2020Are you going based on rumors? Some say it's 1.68? Lol Off... moreJust like assuming 1.76 on S20+ is same as Xperia 1 II 1.7 which is bascially by anonymous guy. No one with proper eyes assumes 1.7 as 1.76. Sony never fake advertise like samdung and Kina mobiles. If it is 1.76, they will clearly mention it in specs. If it is 1.68 but they put 1.7, it is instead bad marketing again by sony.

Provide the rpoof where it says both have similar hardware or just keep yoor assumptions to yoorself.

PS: Smh trolls somehow exploit every bad marketing by sony against them

Officially it's the same sensor size (1/1.76") for both IMX 555 & IMX 557 with some under the hood changes.

Ain't no difference in sensor size as I mentioned previously.
Take your rumor mill lies somewhere else. Make sure you use your reading glasses next time old man.

Anonymous, 11 May 2020You simply can't accept your mistake. Next time read post... moreIt does not exist firmaware for sensor.
The sensors are different, they do not give different names to same sensor.

                              S7 (imx260), s8 (imx333), s9 (imx345), pixel 4 (imx363), xperia 1 (imx445), iphone 11 (imx503), xperia 5 (imx563).

All are 12.2MP 1/2.55" dual pixel. But different sensors.

555 and 557 do not have same amount of AF points. And NO, dual pixel do not cover 100% of the frame. No sensor on Earth can. Just bad marketing from Samsung.

That should be bigger than typical sensor pixel size on S20+. No way they both same. Faster read out is due to software. IMX555 and IMX557 should be different hardware wise. So it doesn't make sense when you call them both have same hardware.

It's the same sensor with different firmware as the other user said.
Sometimes they write decimals upto 1 places instead of two.
Both are 1.8 micron pixel size.
There is NO 1/1.7" vs 1/1.76"
