Sharp's ZERO lines are still dope though. And Sharp R series from R5 is pretty good looking. And has a headphone jack too.

Find X2 Pro already offering 3K@120HZ.
Both of them cost the same. High refresh rate won't cost Sony anything extra. They need to unlock the refresh rate on that existing panel.

"Nah thanks. X 1 II is made for sony fans. Not for everyone. "
I am sure if you ask that to any Sony sales representative, they'll tell you to shut your a$$ up.
No wonder they are doing terrible in sales and losing marketshare.

remind me of those chinese car hongqi L5{CN¥5 million Renminbi (US$800,000 UK£580,000)} with that much money, it's probably better to buy more respected european brand

You can't have 4K and QHD resolution with 60 Hz and 120Hz options for 1000$ man. Wake up from your lalaland. Just imagine a cheap chinese maker without 4K has 1070$ price range without good camera hardware, without headphones jack, without microsd expansion, without Sony's properiety sofwtare and hardware. Yes, I'm talking about OP. If that compoany can't give you everything at 1000$, how can Sony give you everything for 1200$ price range man.

Let's assume Sony made a product with deiffrent resolutions and different refresh rates with existing features. Defintiely price will be over 1400$. Already people are dissing sony for price and you want them to increase price for stupid refresh rates?? You gonna play with notification bar and scroll twitter 24/7 ?? If i give you 60Hz and 90Hz separately and ask you to tell the difference, you will not even able to tell the difference lol.

You remind me of person who wants everything in smartphone like gold finishing, diamond buttons but at decent price, lmao. How many will buy such products??

Nah thanks. X 1 II is made for sony fans. Not for everyone. You can buy 1500$ Huawei and Samsung man. ;)

A very effective shielding from electromagnetic radiation (radio waves, microwaves, etc) is a Faraday Cage.
You probably have one yourself. That mesh inside a microwave is a Faraday cage. It blocks most of the microwaves trying to escape.
But in order to block 5g frequencies, the mesh spacing will have to be very small.
            LOL learn something everyday

The algos processed by BIONZ X or X1 chip-set cannot be performed by regular chip-set as they are specifically designed to perform that task. It is not possible to perform those algos with regular chips which are not designed specifically to do that. When SONY calls all its chip-sets as Engine for years. BRAVIA Engine, BIONZ X Engine it still calls it as BIONZ X Engine in its Alpha series cameras. We all know that it is a dedicated Chip-set. It is not a simple implementation of Software. If it was that simple all TVs from different brands would have been as good as SONY which they are not because of that X1 processing Engine.

SLSAHXOHVOMVN, 25 Apr 2020But how are you going to escape 5g network? It's going to b... moreStudies show no suspect shorterm 5g dielectric SAR effect on humans, as it causes heat and nonheat effect on only skin tissue depth of 2-4 mm. Longterm is unstudied and uncertain, but we humans are quite safe, as we measure SAR to our own liking and physiology.
A bee is 10 mm in total, so both dielectric effects are affecting its entire body.

So yeah, I am well aware most dont even care and dont care to think about it, and tech companies aim to make profits based on human allowed SAR value legal policies, and above mentioned human apathy, without scientificaly proven benignity for animals.

But we will get more "sober" once those bees in particular start dying out, we will be googling news and panicking about it, superfast on 5g.
                  Just wait and see.

I myself wont participate in that by using it.

Here's some examples of high and low end algorithms. (its for high quality video playback)

Example of a low end algorithm
                        https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/cmsdata/downloads/33653/img3File_thumb800.png?version=0%2E92%2E12

Here is a high end algorithm (I personally use NGU standard)
                        https://sakaki.anime.my/tutorial/madVRv11/scaling-algorithms_image-upscaling.png

Both of these algorithms are used to upscale videos.
The low end produces good upscaling without using so much processing power
High end produces amazing sharp quality but it requires much more processing power

So just having Sony exclusive algorithms is a very good thing. (as long as the hardware can handle it)

Telephone, 25 Apr 2020If I recall, Sony (someone from Sony) said something like a... moreI am no engineer of software programmer, but as I understand it, quallcom sells the System on a Chip, the SoC, with CPU and additional audio/image/modem chipset with basic software, which for the extra propieritary qualcomms software is sold separately...
OEMs choose to buy nothing extra, or extra for ex the qualcomms own audio or ISP software for them, or they code their own software into them... so price range for the SoC itself varies depending on that.
I believe that is the case.
On general, I believe it is cheaper for OEMs to buy the SoC with qualcomms own software code preinstalled, than to RnD and install it by themselves.

                              https://www.sony.co.th/en/electronics/support/articles/SX909901

This probably means that there is an algorithm built into a chip in the system.
This isn't a bad thing tho. Its still Sony's proprietary tech.

Snapdragon 865 already has Spectra 480 ISP built into the chip.

But I don't know if its possible to deactivate the integrated ISP and add a dedicated ISP

Maybe a dedicated ISP for the IMX557?
I know a phone with dual ISP
