Early summer... so the phone will be available in July or August. Assuming if it even comes to your country at all.
Besides the size difference, the Xperia 1 iii has twice the internal storage capacity of the Xperia 5 iii. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, which the Xperia 5 iii doesn't have.
Everything else is the same.
Xperia 10 iii... no one cares about that. Even Sony couldn't care less in its presentation. If you want a cheaper phone, you can get a Chinese one which has flagship specs, not Snapdragon 690, which is not even good enough to be called 'midrange'.

Xperia 1 II is not enough good to take the photo for fireflies
without astro mode.
I can’t said Xperia 1 III is really a “Photo Pro” smartphone.

Sony is like Keanu Reeves . Noone hates them 😁 .
I personaly hate bazels but thats personal preference . For the rest these experia 1 III is a beast of a phone . We have to resign for the flagship phones pricing . U want a flagship phone u have to pay 1100$ and up . And these is not going te change anymore

Quite good, hoping its good at low light - specially astrophotography.
The deal breaker for me is the good auto focus and tracking (for camera)

It seems to be a much better device. What I do not like is the same 8 MP selfie camera. Xperia 1 II had a terrible selfie camera.

Really looking forward to seeing the battery endurance rating for this phone. Last year's 1 ii gained 83 hours with 60Hz screen refresh rate, so I doubt if this 1 iii will stay the same when it has double the screen refresh rate value.
